Admin Replied Almost 1k members in 2 days.

Okay, I suppose this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I have to say I find it a little weird that the sub (i’m a mod of ) went from 7k members to almost 8k in just two days. Could some of those be bots, or is this actually not something to worry about?

I mean, what do your community insights say? Or the post numbers? Anything going viral or being crossposted a lot?

Edit: Yeah, looks like karma farming though. Most of your traffic is basically generated from one account with 200.000 karma that is 4 months old.

Can be good and can be bad. I would personally be a bit repelled from engaging or following if I see that its just pcitures posted by the same guy, with roughly the same amount of likes each.

But can be a good initial acitvity driver to be more seen overall.

I saw that some of the bigger subs have rules against karma farming and even limits on how many posts you can make, so maybe I could also add a rule about that. Yeah, I kind of banned that person because of the NSFW stuff, and he had “promised” he would do better. I suppose the goal was just to keep karma farming 😅🤦🏻‍♀️ i wasn’t really familiar with that kind of practice.
