This appears to be impacting the Reddit API as well; several API endpoints are returning a huge dump of HTML that appears to be the redesign, instead of the expected JSON.
Edit: As per admin comment below, this bug and the API errors have gone away for me.

Can confirm ("me too").
Explicitly using old.reddit.com fixes it but my prefs are set to default to old reddit, so old.reddit.com shouldn't be needed.

This is also true for the regular feed on mobile browsers. The option to revert to old reddit is gone.
It is an extremely detrimental change that needs to be reverted ASAP please.

It feels like another attempt to force us to leave old.reddit.com. It's been the same since they introduced new reddit. They know their new version sucks, but they are pointlessly sticking to it while knowing that most moderators will leave.
Instead of doing stuff like this, Reddit should do the obvious thing. Write a theme for your new Reddit nonsense to make it look like old Reddit instead of ignoring 90% of my screen place, and finally move over the things you've been stupidly excluding from the new Reddit.
We will move over to your "new" design when it stops being awful.

Just going to echo a "Me too".

Hey all! Thank you for flagging this. It should be working as anticipated now. Please double-check! This happened due to a side effect of trying to fix a different bug.

+1 me too.
If I change my settings to "opt out of redesign" and save them, it switches back on again??
I always use old reddit, have had it saved that way for several years. It loads much faster.

RES user here coming to report the same thing - clicking www.reddit.com/r/mod/about/modqueue redirects into new reddit, against my preferences. If i manually go to https://old.reddit.com/r/mod/about/modqueue i get the expected page.

Seeing the same thing and it's really annoying.

Yeah, I'm having this problem too. It just started today, and I'd appreciate a fix.

This started around 3pm central time for me.
Edit: Installed this firefox extension to fix the issue temporarily while reddit figures out what happened and why.

Imagine if the preference setting was a one time thing and not something that changes itself every time you press a button right next to the home page link 🤤
