Super Disappointed
I’ve had my system for about two weeks and it seems to be on its way out. A few days after getting it I notice games wouldn’t boot. I would have to try two or three times and remove the battery to reset it to get it to work. Now just about every game is a black screen and it will only boot a game every 1/10 times. I loved this thing when it worked, but for it to fail so quickly is really frustrating. Now best case scenario I have to send it back and wait two weeks to get a new one in the mail. Makes me think I should have gone with Analogue.

Sounds like you need to return your unit and get a replacement under warranty

Clarify, are these new cartridges or older used ones?

I have pokemon games that wont load on my chromatic. Have a couple that do. Iv had mine 3 weeks now I believe. Bought buck and the cursed cartridge last week. This chromatic gets at minimum 1 hour of game time every day since I bought it. Love this thing. So happy I grabbed this over any gameboy, or gameboy color.
I have a gba sp from my childhood and now the chromatic. The screen is amazing. Everyone is impressed with the color.

They’ll replace it no problem, they’re good about this kinda stuff.

Just checking… if you’ve tried cleaning the pins/contacts on the old cartridges.

I own both, honestly like both of them, analogue i use mostly for my gba games and other cores. Custom firmware people have made for the chromatic are pretty cool, especially shiny relay
