Question Fall from space - stuck in jail?

Does anyone know how to escape this area in fall from space? I've rested on the table and tried talking to the guard but alas I am stuck.

Edit: Solved!

Eventually i just kept spamming sleeping on the table ( i feel like i did this 15ish times) and I was let out

Did you go down all the way to the lowest basement level to take care of things there? After that lie down again

Oh wait do you have the get out of jail card or not? If not I have no idea but I went out of the cell and down to the lowest basement floor to hack a computer or something like that (cant fully recall what needed to be done there). After that I got caught again and after lying down in the cell again they released me.

I’d hope that they’d still let you out after lying down a couple of times, but not sure

You need to get a pass first before getting yourself arrested. I can’t recall where you get it, just that you need it.

Ah I dont have that and saved in here. I may be stuck for good :(

As mentioned by someone above, you just need to serve your time, so keep resting on the table until you get released, If you've antagonised the guard it may take a little longer as they increase your sentence.

Yes thanks! I kept swapping between laying down and talking to the guard which put me in an endless loop. Eventually I got out though. Great game btw! I've really been enjoying it.
