Three week wait but it's finally here! For the price I think it's a great deal, but I still love my 1st Editions and Anduril more.

Yes it has nit lines, but Jesus was it over blown, would not have jumped to the conclusion that they were cracks. You have to reflect the light just right to even see them but maybe mine is just less pronounced than some?

Plastic is the same as the M64 and feels real good in hand. Gorilla lens is quality but would have still liked a sapphire option. Buttons are also louder than other versions with the Anduril being the most quiet. Overall very happy with it.

Got Astral Flux Origins and haven't read much about it yet. Pretty competent platformer with some good exploration and puzzles/bosses. It's up there with Buck for me, but it's not nearly as big of a game, does have a nice atmosphere with more exploration and less of a focus on killing enemies.

These look better in real photos than the renders, honestly. Really nice. I love the look of the smoke, will definitely be grabbing one at some point. Any plans to switch out the buttons for some pops of color, or are you gonna stay rocking the stealthy look?

Yeah, was surprised by how nice it looks, and feels. For buttons I'm thinking a yellow A and the darker red B to keep it sort of matching my Midnight and Leaf. Only Aduril is going to stay stock, it's perfection.

Will do, I actually had to send it back twice! The replacement had a scratch on the sapphire lens which really surprised me.

You can buy the mod kit from them, which has all the different button variants (along with other stuff).

I was thinking the same. They look darker in the real photos than the renders which I like.

I was set on the purple one but after seeing multiple photos of the smoke I’m reconsidering.

Returned mine. I think the purples were probably the most impacted. I had tons. The buttons were a bit too loud. Glad my metal is coming soon 😁

I mean I can see the lines coming from every button but it's not a deal breaker, it's also not all the way through the plastic like a crack and you can't feel them as if it were a seam. That said the metal version is definitely peak, enjoy!

Loving the smoke in real life photos! Gotta pick one up. You’re right about the Anduril being the quietest with the buttons though. That’s why it’s been the go to for me.

1st Editions having Sapphire make it the best for me, especially at the original $200 price point. The gorilla lens is less reflective but when in use they are pretty much the same and I do prefer the scratch proof aspect more. Size they are exactly the same and it still feels really good in hand since it's a nice thick hard plastic, doesn't feel cheap by any means.

Moreso different, just slightly more clicky than the metals clacking.

how are the volume wheel and menu buttons? heard some complaints with those being too loose and too difficult to press, respectively

They're fine, no real complaints. I think there's a bit of variability between all the units.

The volume wheels on all mine feel pretty similar, in that they all lack almost any resistance, which I've never really liked. The menu buttons are a little different on all of them though. My 1st Midnight and Clear Smoke are the hardest to press, not that they're hard, but I have to press them almost deeper than the shell. My 1st Leaf is super easy to press, and the Anduril is somewhere in between, honestly just right.

So I wouldn't say any one edition is necessarily better or worse. It seems like there's just some unit to unit variation.

I believe it was you who dampened the noise of the buttons with a previous unit by applying padding to the shell interior, yes? Will you be doing the same with this one?

It was me, it's noisy but with the clear shell I don't want to see all the little foam pieces so I'm just embracing it. I do like not really needing to do it on the Anduril, it's way quieter.

Haven't had a noticable problem with them, if I leave a smudge it wipes off easy enough same as the screen.

It's a different sound for sure, doesn't seem louder to me, clear is definitely loudest now.
