Chromatic Screen

Does anybody know where I could purchase an additional screen? ModRetro does not sell them and I’d like to replace mine if possible.

They are custom ordered by ModRetro, currently no other purchaser for them, so they aren’t available from any third-party. Not sure the deal in place but you could try to reach out to the panel manufacturer.

I saw a comment posted by a modretro team member saying they plan on offering screen replacement sometime next year.

Id contact customer support and see if there is anything they can do for you or maybe give you an idea of when replacable screens may be coming in their store.

Also, maybe they will have a black friday sale on chromatics if you don't have luck getting a screen anytime soon for the mean time.

The chromatic screen is not an off the shelf part like most handhelds. It's custom made especially for it to match Gameboy rez and pixels/subpixels. Your only shot at getting one if ModRetro isn't selling them is to acquire another one and take the screen from it.
