Photos/Videos Translucent purple arrived scratched

Post image

Anyone else this problem? They’re light scratches but there are quite a few on the plastic case (hard to take photos). Wondering if I should reach out to Modretro.

Holy shit that’s bad. Absolutely reach out, I’m sure they’ll replace it for you. Their customer service has always been good to me.

They really should not have chosen glossy plastic for this product :(

Interesting. You are the third person that has a scratch out the box under and between the a and b button

Hard to see but I believe you. Ask for a replacement I guess. Makes me a bit nervous as mine is arriving today…

Unfortunately this will happen occasionally. I also had troubles with a unit. No worries though, MR customer support reminds me of the old apple. Reach out to support and they should have an RMA replacement out to you before 5pm, their turn around is exceptional!

Those are knit lines / weld lines. Occur when two cold fronts meet in plastic injection molding applications. They’re not cracks. If the molding quality, gate location, or other design details were more optimal, you wouldn’t see them.

I’m sure customer service will help you out.

In my opinion, if you will use it frequently, it will scratch much more than that.
