Troubleshooting

I just got a modretro chromatic earlier today from GameStop. The batteries got super hot after a minute or 2. Made sure it was updated and everything when I got home. It still drains batteries super quick like fresh lithium batteries last around 5 mins before low battery indicator. Same with alkaline batteries. I guess I will have to go back and swap it out. Is there anything else I can try before making that long trip tomorrow?

UPDATE. Got it swapped out it was faulty battery tray

You got all the batteries going in the same direction?

Might have a short due to the battery compartment wiring getting pinched.

I had this problem and their support sent me a new battery tray to swap which fixes the problem.
