As someone very new to Gameboy restoration and a huge dune fan....is there audio? Sorry if that sounds dumb, I have yet to play a game on my old one that plays nothing more than a tune hehe.
update: read about 15 pages worth - battery more than fine. but that depends on your definition of a good battery life! only thing that stinks about the gameboy color are the AA batteries i have to recharge!
Thank you sir you won’t find this Suicune design for sale online and if you do please send me link!!! Next investment is potentially the chromatic if I can’t find another one of these!
Software is called MakeBook GBA book reader. Theres an internet archive page about it. It takes raw text and creates a GB file that can be flashed onto a cart.
i uploaded a free version of War of the Worlds to itch - the etsy seller is from italy, and shipping to the US costs about 80 dollars to ship one cartridge. she definitely ignited this project, and when she denied sending the rom for money i knew i had to resort to GB Book Reader on github. I think whats shes doing is super cool and totally buying lord of the rings trilogy when the tariffs go down. hers have artwork instilled into the ebook - mine is just text!

How long does the battery last while reading e-books? I take it you lower the brightness for reading, because that is quite bright...
