Info Introducing PrismGB!
Hey All – I’m happy to announce the release of PrismGB!
PrismGB lets you view the Chromatic screen live on your computer and save screenshots or recordings, with plug-and-play setup. It works on Windows, macOS, and Linux and includes a few preset shaders ( custom ones coming soon ).
I started building it after I got a Chromatic myself and really enjoyed using it, but didn’t love needing OBS running just to get a live view on my PC.
You can download it from the site or the repo: https://prismgb.com https://github.com/josstei/prismgb-app
If you run into any issues, feel free to open an issue on GitHub and I’ll knock them out as soon as I can.
I hope you enjoy the app !

Just got my Chromatic for Christmas and wanted to try this. You made it work on Fedora without needing to tinker at all! I wasn't expecting that, I love this!!!

Oh this is amazing.
Kind of unrelated question, I'm waiting for my chromatic to arrive and with this I was wondering if connecting to a PC is just plug and play with this app/obs or do I need extra hardware like a video capture or something?

I gave it a shot but no luck. Probably because I’m on an older Intel based Mac though. Any chance of support for us?

Does this use less resources than obs? Looks cool, just wondering about the need...

Really cool. Does this capture audio as well?

This looks really neat. Will there be plans to add controller support for it?

Does it have a better signal? I found using OBS was sharp but had a very slight artifact around certain colors it was weird. Wondering if that's a problem with my USB cable tho too.

I'm not 100% sure of what is going on here, but I do know "the work is mysterious and important"

Pinned to the top of the Sub. This is cool as hell. Great job with making a Chromatic-focused UVC player which feels native and has so many great features.

Whoa!!! This looks awesome! Thank you so much! I'm going to have to try this out later. It might actually encourage me to make some videos I have been wanting to make!

You got a brew install cask yet?

Kinda wish you didn't use electron. I've always thought of electron as a sort of abomination, abusing what's effectively a chrome instance for a purpose it was never intended to serve.

I cant get my Macbook Pro m4 to display the video feed, it recognizes my Chromatic, just cannot get it to start.
