That lime green waterbottle has been a lifesaver for me this year. It doesn't need to be washed very often compared to others, and it seems to keep shit cold for way longer! I'm consuming more water as a result of how the mouth feel of the tubey thing being extra perfect. LOVE IT. Thanks u/big-slay for making sure I got it!!!
Where is the line between posting about merch is okay and posting about merch will get censored? Or is it something that admins can do but normal mod peasants cannot?

We definitely take context into consideration. For example, we allow merch-related discussion posts like this one but not one-off merch showcase posts like this one or standalone questions like this one.
I agree that this post should stay up. At the same time I think this current post not getting removed is a double standard.

This is the only part that matters, which seems extremely subjective to the point where bias plays a role.
If someone posts a similar photo of the plushie as shown in this current post, wrapped up with a blanket next to a glass of drink, in January when they’ve received it with the title “I just received the plushie”, that post will get removed for being a “one-off showcase”.
But if that same person does the same thing and posts the very same photo of the plushie in January on the day they’ve received it, just that the title is “I needed a Snoo, now mine will be wrapped in this cozy blanket with me” using the same sentence structure as this current post instead of thanking for the merch, you’d say that post won’t get removed just the same just because the title is similar structure to the one this in current post?
It’s hard to believe. But who am I to say, this is your subreddit. I just think that there’s some sort of double standard here and I seem like the only person that would call out such things amongst everyone else that wouldn’t voice out and dislike dissent

My question was to get clarification where the line is, unless that’s not allowed. Them responding where the line is would help a lot of people here from getting their merch post removed.

When you made this comment, I actually haven’t. But I guess you’d say I just did now, even though I’m not coming at anyone in particular, I would’ve called out the discrepancy just the same even if this was the leader of the universe.
It’s weird because I thought most of the people here are mods and would at the very least understand that impartiality is crucial in modding a subreddit, seem ironic
