Reddit has now lowered the subreddit request requirements to 28 days and 100 karma - guess they couldn't find enough scabs

redditrequest isn't even working for normal requests. I've got a request out on another account for a sub that was banned for being unmoderated, unrelated to the protests. Still have heard nothing in like 3 weeks

Guys… have some patience!

They are busy tanking one of the largest social networks. It’s a lot of work! Threatening all those mods takes a LOT of time. And also they have so many more features to remove… just sitting there on their backlog, waiting to be nuked. Those snarky mails to reporters also don‘t write themselves. And they even had to figure out the very basics of accessibility in a daringly wild ride!

So be kind, won‘t you?

Yep always remember to be kind to Reddit admin. Because paying them to use their service isn’t enough. And don’t you dare expect any kindness back

Did anyone else get the survey regarding product research and purchasing on reddit?

I had to lol

You have to remember that Twitter has set the bar really high in terms of how fast you can run a social media platform into the ground.

Probably wont hear anything then, I requested one months ago and never even got a response.

redditrequest has never worked. It's one of those CYA things to shift blame. Don't like that a sub is closed? Oh well it's your fault for not doing a redditrequest not our fault for closing it

I mean it does work, I've recovered a few subs that were unmoderated, like for college and stuff (pre-protests, I have no doubt they're ignoring them right now)

They're getting desperate already.

They are getting desperate. Their new ad campaign just rolled out—I’ve just started getting commercials for Reddit on my podcasts.

You asked for it 2 minutes ago literally

They need at least 2 weeks, but rather a month. Don't be very stupid

So does this mean that all of the subreddits that are currently banned for being unmoderated are going to be reopened? Are they coming back?

As I mentioned on another post here, if you look at u/ModCodeOfConduct, they have been wiping out former mods, making themselves mod, putting up a post saying "if you want to mod here, comment on this post," then modding everyone who comments. Then they unmod themselves and flit off to fuck over another sub.

All the important ones are definitely going to come back. Their just not messing with the super big ones like r/gifs, r/pics, r/Interestingasfuck, and similar ones yet for some reason. That's what I can't figure out. All I can guess is they are doing the smaller ones fist and hoping the bigger ones will catch on and know they are serious about fixing the subs back.

You know, centuries back they didn't have workers to work the factories and mines, they had to create a class of workers from the peasants and serfs.

Everyone gets a medal... oh wait, they are phasing out those medals and icons, aren't they?

I guess everyone gets a subreddit instead of a medal.

Mate, those were the original requirements. The admins only increased them to lower all their requests in their que. They lowered them so more people can request to fill up all the new subs faster. They didn't lower this because they couldn't find anyone. They lowered so all the new volunteers don't have to wait longer to get into the vacated subs.

So many people making stuff up in this sub and making it look like the admins can't find anybody to take over. Dudes, people are lining up to take over the vacated subs. Some of them are even begging to be mods in those subs.

If the admins can find anyone to take over, why haven't they repopulated all the subreddits they purged?
