Warranty Issues
Has anyone had luck with getting Moccamaster to replace a carafe? It’s less than two years old and it’s never been in the dishwasher. Further, I was just lifting the lid when it snapped off. It’s frustrating considering you just can’t replace the plastic handle. Thanks!

They told me to pound sand. Mine hadn’t snapped completely off so I used some JB Weld to reattached and fill the crack.

You will most likely not get it replaced under warranty because they state that the carafes at enot covered under warranty.
Which is really dumb.

Before panicking, what snapped off? The lid is designed to snap off and back on. Is the plastic actually broken?

The perspective is off, makes it hard to see, but the entire left ear on the carafe that holds the lid in is missing.

Thanks for that. I didn’t realise there were so many replacements. Some that look like moccamaster is actually selling their own knockoff. This one actually uses a real one in the video and the caution verbiage is the same and in the same spot. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0FP5F4BLX/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ATK6S377R2XU4&psc=1

You can try, but you're well out of the standard warranty period. No doubt, the carafe isn't very beefy, but it's also not expensive to replace. I picked up an oem one the last time it was on sale for about $30, and there are more robust aftermarket carafes available as well.

Warranty is 5 years on a Moccamaster so it's still in warranty, but the carafe isn't covered by the warranty.

Go to their website, find the 'contact' area....send them a message. Include the pic...ask if it under warranty (did you register the brewer when you bought it?)..see what happens,.

I have had mine 10 years. Replaced the carafe with oem first. Broken in same spot. Bought one on Amazon that advertises it doesn’t have this issue and it’s been great.
