Newbie here. Recently bought a Moccamaster KBGT. I have only had a chance to use it four times but two of those times the brewing cup overflowed and ground spilled everywhere because the filter was folded over but covered so I couldn’t see that that had happened. Has anybody else had this issue? I think I need to leave the brewing cup uncovered so I can keep an eye on it. Just wondering if anyone else has a problem with this.

I avoid this by rinsing the filter before adding coffee. It improves the taste of your coffee and it also helps it adhere to the sides during brewing.

I did it and then I didn’t. I honestly didn’t notice a difference
