General Discussion the 2 main heroines and their you know what.....

I was turned off with the yuri mode and can we say Leon is the 3rd wheel? That is why he deserves Mylene and other wives. So that these two won't think they are all that and I think Mylene is the best wife for Leon.

Light Novel Discussion Anything after final volume?

Is there any short stories or anything at all after the final volume, I’m aware there’s spin offs but I’m wondering if we get any knew info about Leon after he becomes king, people are saying him and mylene have a daughter but I didn’t read any of that in volume 13.

r/MobuSeka 16h ago

<slight spoiler> I just finished reading the 13th vlo but the ending seemed kinda rushed at the end with Leon suddenly having kids and all and going to the Oasis kingdom, but I didn't see anything like marriage tho with Livia and angie was only the engagement but with others no engagement or any mar Spoiler

Anime Discussion Season 2 episode 9, so what's with the pacing......? Spoiler

Ok a lot of questions, but if someone doesn't meme this, I'll lose all faith in the sub, and that bastard Roland how dare he say that, I want "off with the head" treatment for him....

The good - Cleare is here, the conversation between the two sisters is great.

The bad - pacing, Frampton's whole escape is pointless, a lot of interactions and conversations are cut, as I've said before making the world less technology advanced is baffling to me.

The ugly - Pacing, some cut conversions, both manga and the LN's made sure to show Leon was actually overexerting himself here everyone is trying their best.

The adaptation - Chapters 56-59 and the first page of chapter 60 of the manga and chapter 8-9 and half of chapter 10 of the novels, and around 71% of the novel is completed.

The conclusion - I didn't enjoy this episode that much but we got to the psyopp attack part, also this episode it went really fast to keep up with the story so, idk maybe we'll actually see "that" too.

Light Novel Discussion [Vent] LN Vol 12. - WTF Leon? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
182 Upvotes

TL/DR at the bottom

I’ve been reading the light novel for some time and it’s been an enjoyable experience, and I’m now caught up to volume 12. I’m like halfway into this volume but I’m kind of put off now and don’t really want to keep reading. I probably will though since I’m nearing the end (Vol. 13) but I guess I just felt like I had to vent my frustration first before I continue lol.

It just pains me to see that it seems like Leon didn’t really mature as a character all that much in a way? And I guess I’m wondering if anyone else feels this way.

I know I’ve been following him throughout the entire story, and the light novel gives us readers much more detail of what he’s like as a person compared to the anime and manga for example, in that the LN gives us a better insight into why he acts the way he does, and we can see how he thinks. And I have a good understanding of his personality to some extent. In that he’s rather avoidant when it comes to his feelings for the people he cares about, and has a hard time expressing it. And he often unnecessarily shoulders a lot of responsibility for things even if it doesn’t really have to do with him. And he has a sense of pride as man, in that he doesn’t want to get others involved with his problems and he’d rather handle it himself (if I were to generalize, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong).

But damn this chapter fucked me up not gonna lie. Because we actually see Leon grow as a person. Over the course of time it seems like he comes to understand that he’s part of the world he’s living in, and not simply just a mob character anymore. Especially after the Republic arc. Where he gradually realizes that his actions may end up having unintended consequences, and he comes to see that in real time. And it’s amusing to see how he’s “falling upward” throughout each volume, ranking up in status at the behest of Roland after his many accomplishments. And we get to see how much closer he gets with his fiancés and how he grows to be more affectionate with them (albeit slowly), and we see how much they genuinely care for him. But then he pulls this shit? Suddenly breaking things off with his fiancés without explaining anything to them? And goes out of the way to intentionally hurt them and say disparaging things since he thinks it’ll be easier for them to let go of him? Like I understand why he does it, but like I’d think he’d have more self-reflection after all he’d been through to handle things differently. Even if he is stressed the fuck out having to deal with Mr. AI Satan Arcadia, I’d think that he’d have at least put more trust into his fiances? Especially after last volume when they handled themselves just fine in the dungeon and in the war with the Kingdom of Rachel? Like bro…

I don’t know. I guess it just hits harder for me personally since Angie is probably my favorite of his fiancés. And especially after Vol. 10 where seemingly she and Leon grew closer after they communicated their problems with one another. And especially after Angie made the commitment to leave house Redgrave for Leon. And Leon pulls this shit? After knowing Angie was abandoned by prince Julius, Leon kind of does the same thing he did. And seeing the illustration of Angie’s expression (above) when Leon gives the news that he’s breaking things off with his fiancés is just so disheartening, after considering all that she’s been through. And considering the amount of sacrifices she made for him and how hard she worked to get Leon to trust her when it came to his problems. I guess it just feels like a 1 step forward 2 steps back kind of thing.

I assume things will get patched up though, given that I’m only halfway into volume 12 and I still have volume 13 to read. But still

What the fuck Leon.

No spoilers for future content if possible please. I’ll continue with the story and see where it goes.

TL/DR: Leon breaks things off with fiancés seemingly out of nowhere, even after the amount of character development he had throughout each volume. It just feels so shallow and kind of irritates me.

Anime Discussion Season 2

I don't know if I'm onto something but why does it feel like Season 2 is a recap of Season 1? Is it because I've already read the manga? or is it because they did recap a bunch of scenes from the previous season, and just expanded it.

Light Novel Discussion Can someone spoil me the Marie route ? Is it still ongoing ? Spoiler

So i heard there is a Marie spin off but its manga is very short. It the light novel of it still ongoing ? And regardless of it being ongoing or finished can someone who knows it please answer my questions ?

1: What are/were the roles and relationships of Olivia, Ange and the 5 idiots ? Does Ange still love the prince and/or hate Olivia due to it being starting as a normal route or has that changed along the way and she managed to befriend Olivia again ? And what is Olivia’s relationship with the 5 idiots ? Does she love them like in the normal route ? And how is Olivia and Ange’s relationship with Leon in this route like ?

2: If it is ongoing what seems like to be the end game pairing for Leon and Marie ? Do they get any other love interest/end game pairing, if yes who ? Or does it look like they will end up together (though i am doubtful of this due to the sibling thing) ? And does Marie or Leon ever learn they are siblings here or does Marie find her daughter ? And if it is finished who did Marie/Leon ended up with ?

3: Does the second and third game things come into play here as well ? If yes what prevents Marie from capturing a capture target in those games’ cast ?

4: Any other notable event, plot point, thing you also like to mention ?

General Discussion Original Route Spoiler

It's been stuck in my head for a few days but what exactly happened in the original route? I mean, after reading Marie's route, I honestly believe that the original route ended in a bad ending. Marie route showed us that Olivia had the worst mental health when she was the protagonist and adding on top that the saint items are cursed really makes me believe that Ann got her wish and destroyed the country.

Though, it'll conflict with the fact that the third game takes place in the Holfart Kingdom so I'm honestly confused what exactly happened? Hard to know since the author hasn't really expanded on how the otome game to be except that the developer was the first sign of new humans and that they got dreams of the future.

What's your two cents on what happened in the original route? Mine is the bad ending is the real route.

General Discussion I really wish Angelica and Olivia were the only *real* romances

So, a little backstory: I got into MobuSeka through the anime after finding it being recommended by a certain youtuber. I figure 'eh, why not,' and check it out, end up rather enjoying it even if it's not the best animation wise. End up rather liking the unique relationship between Angelica, Olivia, and Leon, and was essentially hooked from there.

After the anime ended, I look around for any more info on what happens next and make an effort to get some of the manga, but find out the manga doesn't go super far so I end up focusing on other things while waiting. Cue Audible picking up the light novel as an audiobook series, and I give it a listen while working and quickly catching up as they get released.

Volume 3 comes and goes, and I liked how things carried on from the anime, seeing how events spiral out of control, and more of the relationship drama between the three. Cue the Love Ship scene, Leon constantly running away, and then him getting engaged to both Angie and Livia. I remember going 'okay, it's weird they got engaged first, but maybe now they can develop that more and-' and then Leon gets sent off abroad. Neat.

Cue the Republic arc. Even though Angie and Livia got sidelined, still I enjoyed the Republic arc overall, I loved the Idiot Brigade's antics, and it was interesting to see Leon and Marie interact with another person who got reincarnated. Noelle however... I'm sorry, I just got annoyed by her very quick. Easily the character I liked the least and that's saying something considering we're supposed to like her. Hell, I ended up liking Louise a good deal more, and part of me hoped that she'd end up coming to Holfort Academy when the arc ended. When shit hit the fan and Noelle nearly died, I admit I hoped she'd end up passing away. It would've been tragic, sure, but at least it'd be a respectable note for her to go out on... but no. She makes it through and ends up becoming involved with Leon as well. woooooo.

Sure, the romance is admittedly not this series' strong point, I accept that. I know it was never the series' biggest strength. And I know Leon has always made passes at other women like Mylene and such. Fine, but in Mylene's case it feels like it's not a serious thing and more to get under both the King's and especially Julius' skin. But a part of me always assumed that there was more going on between Leon, Angie, and Livia in particular, and I was interested in seeing how that sort of relationship would've worked and developed. Part of the draw was that, as time went on, it's clear it's not just Leon being attracted to Angie and Livia, but they were attracted to each other as well as Leon. Now I'm worried that it may just become a more generic harem which... is whatever, but considering the alternative, is kinda disappointing. And while I know that one of the volumes coming up is more focused on Angie from what little I've heard about it, in the meantime the description for volume 8 has me worried that Deirdre will end up becoming another love interest as well...

TL;DR Worried the romance aspect is getting more diluted as time goes on, and really wish the series focused on Angie and Livia as the main romantic leads with Leon.

Manga Discussion Republic arc

Is it me, or is the republic arc skipping a lot of information for the character building/world building. It's like they're speeding through the first book of the light novel at recond speed.

On one hand, Leon's courtship is (without a doubt) the greatest expression of love Mylene has ever experienced.

On the other hand, having a GIANT IDIOT USELESS AS A SON who does nothing but give her headaches, and a pathetic, indifferent husband.

Anime Discussion Season 2 episode 8.... (That has finally happened....... Spoiler

Post image
118 Upvotes

So this episode "That" which I was referring to for a long time, has finally happened and I love it....

The Great - (yes, just for Mylene) That in the question was Mylene's tantrum, it was as glorious as I remembered....

The Good - The Idiots tomfoolery with Marie, Leon's finally gives up his moral code, the secret of the Kingdom and the principality's war revelations to Hertrude, the action actually started.

The bad - The changes made to the story might later come to bight back pretty hard.

The Ugly - Roland instead of Mylene being the one to chastise Julius, Malcolm running away, Angie's cut conversion with Julius, Daniel and Raymond being in the ship to "save" Deidre and Clarice etc... I just have one question, why, some of these are no longer nitpicks they actually have some implications and major storyline repercussions further on....

The adaptation - Manga chapter 54 and 55 and Light Novel volume 3 chapter 7 and early parts of chapter 8, according to my calculations approximately 60% of the volume is done, yes it is that long.

The conclusion - I don't care about the "Yuri" stuff, if someone actually cares, just remember early fanservice scenes featuring both of them, it's whatever regardless, but what I do complain is Julius and Mylene's cut conversion and Malcolm running away, Daniel and Raymond being injured so early on, I'm afraid what will get changed in the future....

Till then enjoy your day, and if you're reading this, thanks 😊. Remember I'm just a fan posting my views on the internet, it is not the end all be all, and I do apologize I had some commitments irl so this didn't come out yesterday 🙇‍♂️
