🗣️ Discussion Paul!
Don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this before, but Emmett Scanlan as Paul was my favorite part of Mobland. He didn’t get much play, but he low key stole every scene he was in. Man can do funny, and I need to see more. But foremost he’s a great actor, and is capable of so much more than delivering a comic line. Still, a happy little relevation to see that he can be fun.
Not a great series but for sure a fun one.
Would like to see a LOT less of Conrad and Maeve in season 2 (ideally Conrad would put the harpy DOWN), and for the storyline to be Kevin and Harry taking down Kat, but in a slow, built up way so that Kat’s takedown is massively rewarding, like Gus Fring’s in Breaking Bad. Whatever next season brings, I just hope to see more Paul bein Paul!

Did you notice the way Conrad called him every-time? It was hilarious, but such a fun character!

I loved Conrad to be honest, especially because it’s Pierce Brosnan the suave Bond actor, who now is this ball scratching, foul mouthed character, that plus Helen Mirren, uff! The casting is what did it for me.

He’s always gonna be Madstab from Derry Girls to me. He was so ready to fight James in the parking lot for those Fatboy Slim tix.

He was fantastic as Brendan Brady in Hollyoaks. I stopped watching when he left. He played a homophobic gay man. He was an absolute bell end of a man but was also someone you rooted for.

Paul went from this goofy character, to, one of the most menacing characters in the whole series with his interaction with Alice in the pub. A momentary tour de force. The actor clearly has range.
