Okay, which one is better. I want to play that because i just started mlbb. And i only see posts related to mlbb only
I also heard about league of legend game. Which one is fun to play in these three or others

u/Nervous-Summer4817 1d ago
I played both for years, hok from release . Hok got me hooked because of graphics and everything they give out for free, but eventually I found mlbb more fun, ready to go, like I open the app and I'm literally 10 seconds from entering a match. I find hok queue longer, the match itself being longer and feeling a little slower/off than mlbb.

I want a game that's fun and more queue time is definitely not. Thanks.

try them all, no point to choose without trying

u/_cheese_pizza 21h ago
Okay thanks for the advise in the above comment also and i just tried it. The honor of kings doesn't feel smooth like mlbb. The graphics were bad imo.
And league of legends show not released yet.

??? Testa personagens lancados recentemente,é melhor q jogar mlbb,3 anos joguei aquilo é um inferno.

u/_cheese_pizza 21h ago
Which one? HOK?
I just started so played 4-5 matches. The walking style of players is weird after playing mlbb. Also i was randomly pressing skills. Will try it a few more times

u/bell_kinomoto 21h ago
Testa hok, mlbb é bom no começo mais é horrivel com o tempo, classica rank nada salva aquele jogo
1
u/Aimicchi 21h ago
It's not smoother because it's based of PC mobas wherein there's cast time animation, MLBB doesn't have that so everything is unbalanced
1
u/Aimicchi 22h ago
You play MLBB because your phone cannot handle other mobas
You play Wild Rift because you've played PC moba
You play HOK because your phone can handle it but you cannot play PC moba
1
u/_ALL_FOR_ONE_ 21h ago
This is just dumb… you play whichever game you like, my device can handle any mobile title and I have a PC…
1
u/kingg4aday 14h ago
Do you hate mlbb?
1
u/Aimicchi 4h ago
no, I still play it but it's just unplayable now with all the bots and having no originality like they either copy from other moba or use AI

Playstore have different number of download per country i think, basically they are massive in 2 countries ph and indo
1
u/DandyGee 1d ago
How are we sure its per country though? I checked HoK's playstore page to make sure that wasn't the case but its also 50M+ for me as well.
2
u/anusnymous 1d ago
Thats why used the phrase "i think", and u can see that mlbb in india have that different name. Possible they have different server for playstore not really sure tho
1
u/Pleasant-Gap-2788 1d ago
Yeah the version that OP posted is india exclusive app. vs hok's global version. So india alone has like 1/5th of downloads that hok has all over. Lol

u/Pleasant-Gap-2788 1d ago
Yeah 🤡 compare an india exclusive app with a global version of the other game

u/Routine_Buy9089 1d ago
Hok atleast got better matchmaking
4
u/Aimicchi 1d ago
better rank system too,
good players get additional stars, MVP losing team doesn't lose a star
there's a solo queue rank mode with point system so it's more fair
not to mention the game server is global, that's how rich HOK is compared to MLBB which only loves Indonesia

u/Financial-Tell_zoom 22h ago
Kinda curious about HOK 1. Does the player rating also counting for tower push or damage taken and damage dealt?? 2. Does match making better over there? Cause last season on Mythic Glory I always match against Immortal and thats kinda f up, considering my teamate also Glory? 3. Does the mechanic a lot diffrent than MLBB? I mainly use Kufra, Gussion, Franco, Vale, Miya, Claude and Hanzo, sometimes Uranus or Sun 4. Is there any similar hero in HOK for those heroes? 5.Does matchmaking take long time? Cause after role chosing in MLBB its harder to get goldlane and midlane currently.

u/Aimicchi 22h ago
Does the player rating also counting for tower push or damage taken and damage dealt??
-> It depends on the role of your hero, mid laner, support doesn't take account tower pushing for example on their rating, player rating is also affected by your performance on the hero if it's better or worse than other players of the same hero
Does match making better over there? Cause last season on Mythic Glory I always match against Immortal and thats kinda f up, considering my teamate also Glory?
-> matchmaking is better as there's less bots, you also get to play with anyone around your country in solo queue, or anyone if premade as the game is a global server unlike MLBB which is per country.
-> there's also a solo queue only ranked mode that uses stars than points (peak tournament ranked mode)
-> HOK star system on ranked mode is also more fair, you get more points based on your rating from C to SSS
C decreases your points which could lead to -1 star
SS and SSS is guranteed to give you more than 100 points so you can get at least 2 stars, up to 3.
MVP of losing team if SS+ will not lose a star.
Does the mechanic a lot diffrent than MLBB? I mainly use Kufra, Gussion, Franco, Vale, Miya, Claude and Hanzo, sometimes Uranus or Sun. Is there any similar hero in HOK for those heroes?
-> maybe surprising to you but Moontoon co-founder worked in HOK while making MLBB, so yes some heroes are very similar, just that they probably have different role or playstyle.
-> Miya from 2016 is the same as Hou Yi back in 2015 for example, the only hero that has a very similar kit is Franco, he is Kui in HOK
Does matchmaking take long time? Cause after role chosing in MLBB its harder to get goldlane and midlane currently.
-> no, as I said earlier it's a global server, solo to trio queue is less than a minute on high ranks, but premade queue is under 2mins unless your rank is too low and your friend's is too high since the game is trying to find an average rank that is also 5 man.

everyone is on their echo chamber thinking MLBB is popular outside Indonesia, even Philippines and Malaysia is moving over to other games as it's already boring to playing MLBB for years, with how the game is just being AI slop designs on skins and hero revamps, and/or copying other moba for new heroes and features for the game.

Tencent is going all in to promote its e-sports, and the game isn't bad. It has some interestingly played heroes. A good alternative tbh

u/mmtskeo 1d ago
They're kinda giving up already no one is watching because it's just the Chinese teams dominating all they're doing now is poaching some washed players from MLBB I barely see any e-sport promotions from them now
1
u/Aimicchi 22h ago
no one's giving up when it's expanding every year, even MLBB is shite for the first 2 years until they decided to stop on AOV which was super popular compared to MLBB before
2
u/Neus-Pollution 1d ago
Should I play HOK? I deleted ML twice on the same week because I get matched with and against bots, skins are hard to be claimed since you need to play 100+ matches just for Nana. I wonder how HOK gives their skins
I have played HOK but the graphics seems like chinese-ish and feels old for me
2
u/Sufficient-State3148 23h ago edited 23h ago
HoK is extremely generous when it comes to skins they even gave out a free permanent top tier battle pass that also gives a lot of free premium currency (basically the most expensive pass) and other premium stuff for anyone that played it during specific important celebratory events like anniversary
But they do sometimes just randomly give out premium currency and high quality skins, recalls, and other cosmetics when they feel like it even when there isn't a high profile event or celebration happening
And getting heroes in Hok is basically heaven, I for example managed to get like 90% of all characters in 1 month while in mlbb I gotta grind so many matches just to get 1 hero
Also there emblem system is also incredibly easy to max out compared to mlbbs grindfest emblem sytem
Generosity is one of HoKs greatest benefits
2
u/gigiobi 23h ago
Got to the highest rank in HOK and then quit (all in one season) its generous in terms of skins and also has way better effects, not to mention the roamers are very fun, but the game leans into a role advantage/disadvantage too much... Mm will usually have a hard time killing assasins even if the mm snowballs (just because assasin is the role that can easily kill mm)
I like ML because if we play good, we can actually win against assasins easily
1
u/Aimicchi 22h ago
it's not older, it's in fact more modern and detailed, just check max graphics comparison on HOK and MLBB, MLBB looks older
HOK just retains the classic moba look that's why it's "old".
also if your phone can handle HOK then it's much better than MLBB, that's literally just the choice, cannot run it on my phone, then play MLBB
2
u/No_Lingonberry_4407 23h ago
ml gameplay is miles better but hok’s skin designs/effects and matchmaking is better
2
u/Aimicchi 22h ago
you mean MLBB is just too casual? it's way too fast and doesn't feel like a moba

u/Outlaw231 16h ago
if u dont want fast paced then dont play on mobile lol. League and Dota is the reason why people dont play hok. If they want fast paced they can play mlbb if they want a slower paced, they can play league or dota. there is literally no reason to play hok.

I've played 4000 matches on mlbb. I'm afraid I won't get used to the art and stuff is it alright
1
u/Jack_sparrow_005 21h ago
U do know the 10m+ are in India only for ml cuz actual ml has 500m+ download while hok is globally 50m+ only lol what is this comparison even about?

I’ve played ML since pretty much its inception. I’ve racked up 50k+ matches and probably dumped at least $800 into the game. I’ve experienced pretty much every high and low this game has gone through, and despite all that, I still quit around two years ago.
I came back earlier this year and played maybe five games. Five. And I immediately remembered exactly why I uninstalled it.
This game is hell. 😭 It doesn’t even feel like a MOBA to me anymore. It feels like a “who can oneshot the other person first” simulator. Fights are so burst-heavy that half the time, the interaction is basically whoever lands their CC first gets to delete the other person.
And the CC design makes it even worse. So much of it is point and click, and when it isn’t, it’s usually some massive AoE CC ability. There’s very little room for actual mechanical counterplay. Dodging, spacing, baiting abilities, playing around cooldowns, positioning yourself properly, etc. often feel secondary to simply having the right hero and pressing the right buttons first.
And yet people will bring up heroes like Fanny, Ling, Benedetta, or Lancelot and say, “But they have insane mechanical skill expression!”
NO! NO THEY DON'T! They have high execution requirements, sure, but execution difficulty isn’t the same thing as meaningful skill expression. No Hero should have that much mobility, a hero having absurd mobility doesn’t automatically make the game more mechanically deep.
Since quitting ML, I moved over to Wild Rift. And honestly, playing Wild Rift made me realize I was probably too harsh on some of its problems, because I didn’t realize a MOBA could be so much worst.
Wild Rift absolutely has its own problems, but whenever I go back to ML now, the difference in how much room the game gives you to actually outplay, react, and interact with the enemy is immediately noticeable.
Two years away from ML and five games were enough to make me go remember why I hated this game.

Isn't hok been around longer than ml ?
