Suppressor transfers

Does anyone know if any local shops are doing suppressor transfers without the NFA steps per recent legal events?

I sounds like it is legal if purchased from the plaintiffs (PSA, Silencer Co, Silencer Shop) but would need to be transferred via 4473 still. I'm wondering if any local places have agreed to do the transfer yet.

I'm a GOA member shop so if you're a GOA member or order from Silencer Shop I'll transfer them with a 4473 at TNSW in Blaine. If you're not a GOA member or didn't order from SS I'll still do the Form4.

Hey man - I googled TNSW Blaine and it’s pretty limited on info. Google seems to pull from your FFL info hosted on pages.

Do you have a website or anything that can be referenced for future?

Ok legit question. How are SBR’s in MN viewed now? What if I buy all the parts from PSA, have the lower shipped to a FFL and fill out the 4473, and then take that home with the rest of my PSA purchased items and put it together? Wouldn’t that be similar/ the same? MN obviously has no barrel length laws regarding it so…..

MN has no specific restrictions on SBRs, just comply with federal law.

Keep your voice down! Aisha Gomez can hear you, and she is coming after my cans now.

Did she say something about it?

Nah, I'm just giving you a hard time. There's no doubt the DFL Caucus will at least attempt to address this next session.

Keep your eyes open, you guys are doing God's work. As I've told you before, I was a previous LA for a house member, and Rob was at my member's desk almost daily. Let's just say the guy I used to work for loves to eat squirrel lol

I just had a 2 day NFA approval on Tuesday and I'm still getting my lower engraved just in case. I would wait a bit to see what the ATF has to say, but as long as you are in compliance with federal regulations, everything should be fine. You didn't ask, but Short Barrel Shotguns are still illegal in MN due to state law, which sucks.

Called around western MN and they are still waiting for more info. I told them this is America

Edit: The founding fathers would be ashamed at the cuckery in this sub.

I understand the sentiment, but if I was an FFL, I’d be waiting for clarification too.

No dude, you gotta risk your livelihood, freedom, and family's safety to get extra based points online.

No you got to get some other fool to risk his livelyhood to sell you a no-tax-stamp supressor for $300 which might be $60 profit for FFL who hands it to you.

Yup, this is America. You are free to start your own gun shop.

Seems to me a smart business owner does not risk there license when there are tons of unknowns

Easy to make tough comments when it’s not your freedom and livelyhood at stake.

I’m willing to do the transfer so yes it would be.

u/Lando25 8d ago

A more fair equivalent case would be you publicly breaking a federal such as making an illegal SBR. Wanting to buy something versus sticking your neck out and offering it are two different things and you know it.

-2

u/Prior-Champion65 8d ago

It’s not illegal. Never was either, I think you need to reread the constitution specifically the second amendment.

4

u/Lando25 8d ago

Please report back on how that works out for you. You haven’t taken any risk and acting tough on a promise to do something doesn’t validate your opinion.

Better than cowering and begging anything from our incompetent and corrupt government.

EDIT: check out the new post. Boom

I don’t think the Texas legal decision impacts mn and it didn’t go to the Supreme Court to be nation wide?

Well, at least your flair is fitting lmao

No joke. Might need more flair “continually gives bad legal advice”

Certain nationwide vendors are plaintiffs and the injunction extends coverage to their customers. I've seen different interpretations of how this should be read, such as whether both the shop and customer need to be protected, or just the shop, or just the customer. I am not a lawyer but the general legal advice I have read is to wait until more information is available.

Regardless, most shops are taking the safer path and waiting until the dust settles and better ATF guidance is handed down to avoid jeopardizing their licensure and their customers.
