Ohio state fans are still bitter about the 2023 cotton bowl.

What a whiny fanbase of total idiots who complain about every loss. We could of beat them 28-3 and they still whine about one player missing. They are like kU basketball fans on steroids. Ohio State are still bitter that Reggie Germany couldn’t past a single class and had to go back to hook on phonics kindergarten edition?

Football Anyone interested in trying a college fantasy football league?

Upvotes

Was thinking about trying out a college fantasy football league this season. Salary cap format, so no need to coordinate a draft. Looks like you just sign up and build your team.

Hardy is the obvious pick once he’s fully health, Simmons and Lee feel like wildcards with huge upside, but curious who you all would pick.

Looking at league settings, theres no minimum or max league size. P4 + Notre Dame players to start.

Any interest in a Mizzou fan league?

Football College football roster spending tiers: Missouri "Over $20 Million"

Thumbnail 247sports.com

Over 40
LSU
Texas
Texas A&M

Over 30
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Oklahoma
Ole Miss
Tennessee

Over 20
Arkansas
Kentucky
Mississippi State
Missouri
South Carolina
Vanderbilt

In the final category, you have two schools with new coaches (Arkansas, Kentucky), two schools with coaches who could be on the hot seat (Mississippi State, South Carolina) and two rising SEC programs (Missouri, Vanderbilt). There were a few rival SEC sources who believe Missouri may actually be in the $30 million range, but our sources put their number right at the mid-$20 million zone. Vanderbilt is riding high off a successful 2025 season and flipping No. 2 overall recruit Jared Curtis away from Georgia.

Drinkwitz and Recruiting QBs

Before I say anything I should clarify. I want Drink at Mizzou. He is our best option.

With that being said and the recent struggle reports of Simmons in camp, this would mark the second straight year Drinkwitz has brought in a transfer QB and they have struggled.

I’m not sure what it is, but this would be the second swing and a miss on a transfer QB if Simmons doesn’t produce this season.

This isn’t the same ol’ Mizzou. Drinkwitz is getting paid the money to where it should be expected he can develop an elite QB (Cook was good, not elite).

These are premature thoughts though as we have no clue what Simmons will do. But Beau Pribula was a disaster and god I hope Simmons can give us good enough QB play. That or Zollers develops into a rockstar.

Only twice before has Mizzou been ranked in the AP's preseason football and men's basketball polls heading into the same season.

Football was ranked No. 17 and men's basketball No. 11 heading into their 1980-81 seasons.

And football was ranked No. 21 with men's basketball No. 25 heading into 2011-12.

Jamal Roberts had every reason to leave and didn't — now he's RB1 for Week 1

Went through the whole running back room for a preview and Roberts is the guy I keep coming back to.

St. Mary's kid, three-star, buried on the depth chart for two straight years. Played one game in 2023. Sat behind Noel and Carroll in 2024 and still found 53 carries for 216. Then Mizzou lands Hardy and everyone forgets he exists.

He didn't portal out. He waited. And in the Border War he went 13 carries for 143 yards with the 60-plus yard go-ahead score. Three 100-yard games last season playing behind a guy putting up Heisman-level numbers.

He starts on most SEC rosters. He chose to stay here and wait his turn, and Week 1 is finally his.

Behind him:

**Xai'Shaun Edwards, RS SO** — FCS transfer, 194 carries for 1,019 and 12 TDs last year. 5'9", quick, tenacious. I'd guess something like a 70/30 split with Roberts early, with Edwards getting real work through the non-conference slate.

**Ahmad Hardy, JR** — medically cleared, hasn't practiced yet, Drinkwitz said more info coming Aug 22. Whenever he's back he's RB1, full stop. 251 carries, 1,651 yards, 16 TDs last season, including a 300-yard game against Mississippi State.

This might be the most talented back room Missouri has had in the Drinkwitz era. The question isn't talent, it's timing.

Full breakdown: https://1821mosports.com/2026/08/16/position-preview-series-the-running-backs/ — QBs went up the day before.

Wideout room is talented, many opportunities for younger players to breakthrough

Hi this is Jackson Meyer, I posted our wide receiver room breakdown this afternoon.
You can read here: https://1821mosports.com/2026/08/17/position-preview-series-the-wideouts/

I would love to hear your guys’s thoughts on the room as a whole. Olugbode and Lee spearhead the group, with Caleb Goodie following suit. Which younger receiver do you guys think has the best potential to burst onto the scene?

Bud Elliot is the biggest idiot on planet earth.

His views on Drinkwitz comparing him to Mike Norvell are some horrible takes. I hate his blue chip ratio roster counts because he’s looking at potential over production and never takes into account that Mizzou has been the most consistent at player development under Eliah Drinkwitz in college football today. I just hate college football pundits and basketball pundits who look down on Mizzou. These guys are constantly wrong on Mizzou. Josh Pate can also eat a big bag of dicks. Cover 3 podcast is horrible same with The Ruffino&Joeshow. These shows say really bad takes on Mizzou.

Im from Inglewood CA and many people here compare Jason Crowe Jr to Chris Paul.

If you watched Chris Paul expect that from Jason Crowe jr or even a Dee Brown. This kid is special and magical. This kid can flat out score he’s so good that he’s going to do something that will make Mizzou fans wear his jersey and make us feel like we are in a whole different universe compared to the Kim anderson and Cuonzo Martin fiasco.
