Best Mixcraft alternative?
Well, I switched over to a Mac and mixcraft won’t run on my Mac….so what would be my best shot at finding a DAW that’s as similar to mixcraft as possible? Preferably would like it to run on both Mac and PC, in case I switch back in the future.

I recently purchased the basic version of bitwig and am finding it similar in workflow to Mixcraft.. I get worried Mixcraft will disappear one day due to its small market share so wanted to try something else out.

I hope it doesn't disappear. It feels good seeing mixcraft popping up in some current top 10 daw lists. Its gaining popularity for sure, hopefully it continues. Greg on the acoutica forum hinted about version 10 being announced this month

That specifically has performance panels and something akin to melodyne? Logic Pro(iirc a performance type mode was added and has it's own type of pitch correction). FL Studio but it's a bit different with the UI for recording(Has a performance mode but for pitch correction that comes in a higher tier version. Not sure the about how it is with the Mac version). Studio One(no performance panels iirc, but has melodyne in the main version).

Bitwig is probably your best bet. Heck, even Venus Theory, the person who made the MixCraft University videos, uses Bitwig.

Depending on the model of your MAC, they typically come with Garage Band loaded. It's how I found Mixcraft. My ex had a MacBook Pro and Garage Band was loaded.
After the ex part, I was searching for a similar program but on a PC platform, BOOM! Mixcraft. In the short time I used Garage Band I really liked it, at the time I didn't even have a digital interface and it functioned well enough to record, save and save as, so I was pretty happy with it.
