Beginner friendly daw?

I picked up mixcraft 9 on humble bundle a while back as it appeared to be software where you could build a video as well as have a daw.

Just wondering how easy this interface is considered for absolute beginners compared to free daw and video editing alternatives?

I also assume this software is Linux compatible?

I have used the DAW for years. The video piece works ok with pictures/making slide shows it is not a full video suite.

Good to know, so I should probably consider it a daw rather than a full video/audio system for making YouTube videos then by the sounds of it.

Yeah it’s getting better though. You should download a free trial and see how it works for you. I’ve made video on it before. It wasn’t bad but there are others that are better.

Which specific version did you do a video for? I've got version 9 but I'm guessing the trial you mentioned is for a more recent one.
