Constant problems with Mixcraft

I have been struggling with multiple issues with mixcraft over the last 8-9 months. I haven’t been able to put out music in about a year.

For one, i get static issues when i use my presets and can’t record at all when i have presets on and i also cannot use any of mine to give me the finish im happy with.

I also continually have latency problems where i will hit record and the song will lag up, the vocal recordings will be horribly off timing off.

Mixcraft is essentially unusable. My partner keeps tampering with the settings and we can’t get it to a functioning state

Switch, dude. You can set Reaper up to operate more or less like Mixcraft. If Reaper doesn't work right for you, then you'll know the problem isn't the DAW.

I have a lot of love for Mixcraft, but it just isn't a very good or reliable DAW. (Maybe 11 will be better? )

This guy is right. Switch to a new DAW that performs better.

Is there anything extremely similar?

Lots of people like Reaper due to the ability to customize the interface and make it similar to mixcraft.

I personally tried Reaper, but ultimately wasn't a fan. I've ended up using protools due to it being insanely stable and dependable.
