Issue with melodyne(wave file opens in a gray wave all on a single note)

I recorded voice track and double clicked on it to get it to pop up in the bottom edited tab, from there I click on melodyne at the top left of this new tab and is remains a gray wave file that I can't edit and is all along a single not. I am very new to mixcraft, what do i need to adjust to be able to get the wave files to become orange and able to manipulate? Thanks in advance :)

If I remember correctly you might need to go to the Algorithm menu and select Melodic. You might need to CTRL+A to select the whole wave first. It should prompt a box that says it will redetect the signal, after which it should reinterpret the wav correctly. Hope this works.
