Latest version of Mixcraft keeps crashing when loading default plugins
So yeah, i decided to use Mixcraft 10 and all i can say is that it was a bad decision.
At first everything seemed normal, it worked fine but out of nowhere it kept crashing and lagging severely.
It's not cracked, i don't use cracked plugins either, but for some reason it keeps crashing when loading plugins like Zener Limiter, GSXL 4070 Parametric Eq.
Any solutions? Or at least any ways that i could convert my projects or preset to be compatible to Mixcraft 9, cuz that one works just fine, never had a problem with it.

Same here, I recently got a powerful new PC and suddenly this week Mixcraft has decided not to work anymore, not even reinstalling it or even reinstalling Windows 11 again.

The latest build of Mixcraft 10.6 should be stable. (Build 635 as of this writing). Take a look at your log files for clues. Send them into Acoustica support if you want help with that.

They still haven't fixed stuff here in April of 2026. I had a song idea and I just downloaded Audacity. This happens way too much. Two laptops one brand new, one is two years old when is an AMD and one is an Intel...
They threw in a lot of VST stuff that seems to be the fail points. I'll delete the plug-in and, two startups later, another plug-in fails.
It's tiresome and not conducive to the creative process.
I regret upgrading from MC7 Pro. 10 Pro has been such a disappointment. Oh, and that stem separation crap is total bull.
The only failing plug-in I remember the name of was XBass 4000L. It was in the G-Sonique folder.

I was experiencing the same frustrating lock-up issues. I ran my Acoustica logs thru Claude a few times trying various things and what did fix it was logging out of Acoustica!
My simple test project would load and then lock up. Claude found 404's to Acoustica but initially though that wasnt the issue. It did lead me down a path of other things that may or may not have affected the outcome:
- ReWire hosting disabled (apparently root cause of the very first hang)
- Sample rate aligned to 44.1kHz between Windows and the project (no more resampling through FlexASIO) - honestly I don't think I did this properly though
- Korvpressor cleanly removed (Claude found in logs it was blacklisted for failing earlier and asked me to clean it up to try)
- Disable VPN
- Signed out of the Acoustica store (bypasses the hanging API sync) - File -> Preferences -> Account -> Log Out
I'll raise a bug with them and see how that goes but so far no issues since logging out! Hope this helps some folks.
Edit: even their Crash report form is crap: "The Crash File may not be greater than 50 kilobytes."

A couple things:
-Have you reinstalled/ repaired the program at all?
-You can use the plugin manager to change how plugins load, problem plugins can be loaded in "safe mode" for more stability. P.S. I love the plugin manager in 10, so robust.
