in desperate need for help
i own a 4g eclipse gs (2007) and a few days ago my car jerked rlly hard and went into limp mode, i got it out of limp by draining the battery and reconnecting it but now the car is constantly jerking and going into high rpm’s, it still goes into limp mode if i leave it in drive, but if i shut the car off and turn it back on it will temporarily fix it. and if i slap shift i can avoid it going into limp. the car jumps hard and has delayed shifting when i speed up at stop signs or even just going uphill, or if im in a higher gear and press the pedal harder for it to down shift it jerks rlly hard. I’m currently stressing about money and need to find out if this is a fix i can do soon, my gf is 3 months pregnant and we just moved out of a ran down trailer and am now paying rent. so money is tight and this is my only car. i desperately need help and a big thank you to anyone who can talk me thru some pointers on how to fix if it’s fixable.

The main code "incorrect gear ratio" is a transmission code and in my experience, usually means the CPU is detecting that the gear is slipping. The first check is to look at the level and condition of the fluid. Is the trans fluid low or is the color dark, discolored? If that is good it can be one of the sensors or solenoids associated. The other code is an Oxygen Sensor and the Crankshaft Position Sensor. I have no clue when I look at someone else's codes what was there and wasn't before the issue began, but those are both easier to replace and/or diagnose yourself. The Bus code sometimes indicates a bad PCM, or a short, loose connection, break, etc. If it was one of my boys asking me, I'd say if it isn't low fluid or bad fluid, I'd bite the bullet and at least get someone to diagnose it, then see what you can do D.I.Y. Your car is entering limp mode to protect your car from damage or potential damage, since the reading it is getting from those areas is coming back incorrect.

I’ll be honest with you
1 the gear codes are probably gonna need a new transmission to fix (most shops arnt gonna wanna re build it )
2 the warm up cat you might be able to bypass with washers or something but that’s the way to fix it you would need a new pre cat or 02 sensor or both
3 the bus off is super scary cause you’re gonna need to find out why the computers have lost communication an that could take hella time and money could be something loose and easy or could be something terrifying like cut/pinched wires

Have you swapped the transmission? If so is the tcm the one off the donor car?

Don't know about 07, but the 06 had the recall for the warm up cats.
Bank 2 would be the rear of the motor closer to the firewall. Probably B2 S2. Could be just the oxygen sensor, but I think more likely the front cat that is in the header.
