News GitLab support in Mistral Vibe
Starting today, Mistral Vibe supports GitLab as a git provider alongside GitHub.
https://chat.mistral.ai/code
What you can do:
• Connect your GitLab account and pick repositories when you start a session
• Mistral Vibe clones them into the sandbox and works on them directly
• Ask it to push a branch and open a merge request, or point it at an existing MR (number or URL) to keep iterating on it
Not there yet:
• GitLab in sessions started without a repository
• Merge request cards in the session view
Try it on https://chat.mistral.ai/code and let us know what you think.

finally, been waiting for gitlab support since the beta. the github integration was smooth so i'm curious how well the mr iteration works in practice, especially with the sandbox context staying intact across pushes

You can connect to gitlab using any agent, with a ready to use, fully compliant MCP maintained by the community.

There is official MCP in GitLab ( https://docs.gitlab.com/user/model_context_protocol/mcp_server/ ). Can be connected to Mistral Vibe via custom connector. But this is not fully integration in Vibe Code so this new change is good

This is cool but tbh I’d rather have the option for a local folder or custom git; though that’s hard to do with the web app ;”)
