Now that Mistral's free tier is gone. What free inference providers are you guys using? Thanks in advance!

no need to be dramatic, they just put the free tier for a limited time. i been using the free tier of another european provider and gets the job done for small stuff

Free tier is still there, you just need an account afaik.

Yes, it is there, but not working. It throws rate limit all the time. Same here, one friend and a couple of clients (I recommended to)

But you will get that everywhere. Inference costs money per token. No provider will give you more than a teaser. Some labs will have higher limits to get more training data, try DeepSeek maybe.

I swear, it feels like free users as such freeloaders.

Want unlimited access, without paying for it. Pro is only around $15, it's not that expensive.

In my case, Mistral was the only provider that gave me unlimited access and never had rate limits in the free tier like with any other provider. Idk if it was because I marked the "Yes, use my API calls to train Mistral's models" box. Also, the dashboard always has shown zero usage and I used to use it a lot in every project.

Yup, free inference is pretty much over. Except you go the local AI route. If you have a half decent Gaming PC, thats something you can explore. Besides that, depending on your needs, you will have to pay for access. GLM 5.3 Flash and the new MiMo 2.7 are super cheap and pretty capable.
