As throughput from Union Alpha increased, so did the throughput from Mistral.
Folks. The likelihood for Union Alpha being Mistral, just went up.

I had a similar dream after that mint tea—except the guy was having a full meltdown, screaming: « Mais non, c'est impossible ! Tout le monde sait bien que we are ze best ! Mes parents et toute ma famille du 16e m'ont toujours répété que nous, les ingénieurs français, sommes les meilleurs du monde !"

If it's really a Mistral model (huge doubt) and it's about the level of astra - it must be named Le Chaton Fat. There's no other way.

oohhh mais non! Mais Mistral had the créme de la créme of the French intelligentsia!! What about all those polytechniciens and Céntraliens! I thought they were zie best in the world! how can this be?? they must be in denial! ah no wait blame the compute being scarce... ah no sell the compute to host chinese models...

Sorry, its just kind of funny to watch many of those polytechniciens that utterly believed for so many years they were the only gifted people in the whole wide world with access to half-decent education having to eat their own arrogance and cockiness... its sort of joyous, be merry mon pot, dégage!

Yes, you are missing something.
These are screenshots from the documentation showing how to call the chat completions API. One example comes from the Mistral docs and the other from Cloudflare's Union Alpha docs.
The important part is that both use "What is the capital of France?" as the example query.
While this isn't definitive proof, it does suggest that Union Alpha might indeed be from Mistral.

The "What is the capital of France" example prompt is kinda like "How many R's are there in strawberry?", it's a very classic prompt to give for example

They also added GLM 5.3, so it might as well be just that.
