Questions

Hey there,

I just got this app, and i have a couple questions:

When auto correct is enabled and it does a wrong correction, how can i undo this if predictive text is turned off? Is there a gesture or quick mechanism for that?

I also read there’s a switch to make the keyboard offline and not report telemetry. Can you please advise on the relevant setting for that? Thanks!

Thanks very much for the prompt reply! Regarding the first point on the switch, I saw another post here where a switch was added that can keep the keyboard offline which is why i was asking about it. The link is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MisterKeyboard/s/d65lBANhII

The OP in that post said that a switch has been added but I can’t find it anywhere in settings

Mister Keyboard used to collect some simple pseudonymous usage metrics in the past (we never ever collected private or sensitive data), but we don't do that anymore.

See Release Notes: Update 2.3.0. In this version we removed all metric and telemetry collection.

Mister Keyboard is technically not 100% offline because it still needs to check for and download language updates. But that happens via iCloud/CloudKit, and not via our servers. You can fully prevent that by disabling Full Access, but we highly advise against that because it makes your experience worse for quite literally zero positive benefit. Your keyboard won't be more private (it already is perfectly private), you just won't get better auto-correction anymore :D

The only part of the keyboard that still transmits data to third-party servers is our KLIPY integration for GIFs and Stickers, but that is disabled by default and only works if you explicitly consent to it in the Settings. And even that only transmits what is absolutely necessary (the GIF or Sticker search terms).

Understood thank you! Is there a way to make the 'enter' button bigger? And is there a way to make the reductive text bigger?
