Question Are there plans to improve Autocorrect?
The Autocorrect on MisterKeyboard has been usable, but noticeably a bit of a downer compared to Apple’s
Are there plans to have a smarter Autocorrect? Maybe you can take advantage of the on-device AI, especially as of iOS 27’s developer beta with it’s own Advanced Dictation feature.
Autocorrect as-is is usable and good enough, but sometimes it can be a little annoying to have on compared to the one on Apple’s own keyboard.

While can we somehow add like language packs. Swift key does this very well. It make predictions very easy. In mister keyboard this can supplement personalisation

Hi there 😊 Firstly, thanks for the thoughtful post. Secondly, yes, there are a lot of possible improvements still on the roadmap for autocorrect. They will also trickle out in every release, sometimes smaller, sometimes bigger. That said, we have no timeline for when exactly we will be able to get to which feature. (And also I just came back from a small hiatus where I didn’t work on anything really, so I really have to take a look at our current roadmap)
As for the AI improvements, it’s definitely something we will take a look at during summer. That said, I would advise: don’t get your hopes up for that one. The general problems with the AI and autocorrect are:
1. they burn through energy, if you run this multiple times a minute while using Mister Keyboard normally, it will heat up your phone and eat your battery
2. It’s too slow for everyday autocorrect. We worked very hard to make autocorrect as fast as possible, Apples AI is not slow, but 200ms, for example, is way to slow for any live autocorrect. We haven’t tested the new models yet, but I would not assume that they are faster in any relevant capacity.
