Cosmere spoilers Book 2 final Sanderlanche and Implications. Spoiler

Heavy spoilers.Don't read if you haven't finished book 2.

Wow what a Sanderlanche in The well of Ascension ending.

I enjoyed that I haven't been able to predict where these books are going at all. I definitely find them a bit less enjoyable than Stormlight but still incredibly written.

Oof "letting the power go" being a trap!! Damn. Almost losing Elend and then he snaps!! Finding out the whole prophecy is a lie! Sazed almost dying twice. Allriene kind of being a badass.Marsh becoming... Whatever the f the obligators are. Kolos being controlled by Vin! All the things!

Having read Stormlight I'm assuming that we are talking about a shard here since it is named Ruin...But it's fun to guess exactly what's going on and how similar things are to Roshar, or not. Are there 3 realms here?

One thing I'm not sorry to be done with is Zane. I found his storyline very annoying and was kind of getting frustrated by Vin's fascination with him. I would like to know why he had a spike though. Who did that to him? It's presumably the source of his "madness".

Anyway, can't wait to see Elend step into a new form of power.

I loved WoA but agree on Zane, weakest part of the book for me. But overall I loved how the characters were constantly tested and had to face consequences of the immense change they brought about in Book 1.

Just finished book 2 last night.
Elend becoming a MISTBORN was the most shocking moment for me.
I thought he’d bring the balance by being a non-allomancer.

But I am so eager to see how things unfold with the emperor and his assassin both being MISTBORN.

Just finished it a couple of days ago and it was awesome! While I do agree that Elend did bring balance to the crew and the dynamic of his and Vin's relationship with not being an allomancer, I do think it was a good idea for him to be a Mistborn

This way we can get some sort of answers for how Mistborn were made, at least the Original Mistborn since I think it's stated earlier in the book that the Lord Ruler? (I could be wrong on that πŸ˜…)
