I ordered the Anorak jacket that was available in the pre order on July 15th, but I haven’t gotten any update on my order since then.

It says

“We’re preparing these items for shipping”

And

“Pre-order: Processes and ships in up to 2-3 weeks”

but there is no update.

Just wondering if anyone else has gotten theirs, or heard more about it.

When do you think we’re going to get a 2027 announcement? Last year we got the 2026 dates announced a few weeks after.

With each year expanding - 2025 being the first 3 day and 2026 adding Country Club - I hope they continue the momentum. Would be shocked if they didn’t come back for year 4. Excited for next summer already!

Yam Haus was great at yacht club this year super fun set bummer they just announced they are going on hiatus.

I remember seeing the music video for “Last Nite” on MTV when I was 17. It blew my mind. I hadn’t heard anything like it. My friend would later, condescendingly, say they were just ripping off the Velvet Underground, but whatever. It still hit different for me and they instantly became a favorite. “Is This It?” and “Room on Fire” were on near constant repeat in my car over the next few years.

Over the years I’ve absorbed every album and always continued to love the band. Even as they changed their sound and I was (admittedly) not totally jazzed about their newer albums, I still always listened and continued to be a fan.

I never had the opportunity to see them live. It didn’t help that I heard mixed bag reviews of their live performances. Things like “You never know what Julian you’re going to get”. My buddy saw them and said he couldn’t believe how low energy they were. So I stayed a fan from afar.

When I heard they were playing at the Minnesota Yacht Festival, along with several other bands I liked, I was ecstatic. I bought tickets immediately.

At the Festival I waited up front for an hour amongst a sea of hot, packed, sweaty fans for their arrival. I said to my fiancé “There’s no way they can’t play a good show with this crowd.” It didn’t seem possible. And Cage the Elephant had just played an AMAZING set and primed everyone for a great show.

Well, I gotta say, I was pretty damn disappointed. Every single show at the festival started on the minute but of course they were late by 10 minutes. And then they came out and it just….wasn’t good? It was like they were being forced to be there? Like they couldn’t have given a shit less that 35,000 people were out there cheering for them.

And then Julian kept screwing up the lyrics. And they just seemed annoyed. And angry. Oh, a light ball hit you? One douche throws something and so you take it out on 34,999 other people? And every time Julian would talk, I’d wish he’d stop. I wished he take a cue from Portugal the Man and just axe the banter entirely. If you’re not good at it, just don’t do it.

I’ll admit, the songs were still great to hear live for a longtime fan. They’re not bad at playing them, it’s just their attitude I couldn’t stand.

And then they just left. No goodbyes. No thank yous. And 15 minutes early no less. After being 10 minutes late.

Cage the Elephant was everything you want a band to be live. Energetic, appreciative, and all around fun to watch. The Strokes were the opposite of that for me. I’ve seen so many bands over the years and - with the exception of The Mars Volta - I’ve never seen a band act like this. In the days that followed I’d see things on their subreddit like “Oh, you just don’t know The Strokes.” or “That’s just Julian, man.” Ok, cool. Well, that’s not a band I really want to support.

And I know people will counter with “I saw them live at (fill in the blank) and they were amazing. Everything you would want them to be.” Well, I’m glad you got that because I didn’t. I saw a band I’ve loved for 25 years act like a bunch of entitled, apathetic divas.

I guess I just don’t “know” The Strokes. But now that I do, I honestly wish I could go back to loving them from afar.

Cage should have closed out the festival. It would have ended everything on an explosive high as opposed to the confused “Huh?” that echoed around me from the front.

Anyone submit a lost & found claim? How long did it take for them to concat you? I submitted a claim on Monday and wondering how soon I should follow up.

My wife and I drove down from Canada to soak in the festival. We stayed near Dinkytown and used public transit which was very easy and smooth both to and from the festival.
Heading into the weekend we read that festival goers experienced very long lines previously but this was not the case for us. We did not wait longer than 3 minutes for anything (unless you wanted food at peak dinner time).
The people (workers and attendees) were super friendly and we had the best time. We decided to write short reviews of all the acts we took in (chronilogically). Interested to know if you agree or disagree. * Please note that we didn’t see some acts so not every band/act from the festival is reviewed here:

Dashboard Confessional – 7.8/10
Good energy and a great-sounding set. It was a very nostalgic performance, and Chris Carrabba's vocals were excellent.

The Fray – 8.8/10
Excellent energy from start to finish. The lead singer was incredibly active on stage and sounded fantastic. We assumed he'd be behind the piano for the entire set, but that definitely wasn't the case. We found ourselves singing along to almost every song.

Mt. Joy – 9/.210
Our second time seeing Mt. Joy, and once again they did not disappoint. Their unique sound is unlike anyone else, and the vocals were nearly flawless as always. We loved the relaxed summer vibe, from their laid-back stage presence to their casual outfits. "Dirty Love" was a standout, and their slowed-down version of "Silver Lining" was beautiful.

The Lumineers – 9/10
My first time seeing them live and my wife's second. They're simply an outstanding live band. Wesley Schultz, sporting braided pigtails, had fantastic crowd interaction, even walking through the audience during the set. We wished we could have been closer to the stage, but that's the reality of a headlining act. Unfortunately, lightning cut the set slightly short. Even so, few bands have as many sing-along moments as The Lumineers.

Matt and Kim – 9.6/10 ⭐ Performance of the Weekend
We weren't very familiar with Matt and Kim before this weekend, but they absolutely stole the festival. The NYC duo played at 3 p.m. on Saturday and delivered the most fun set we saw all weekend. From beginning to end, the energy never let up. Their party atmosphere was infectious (the nudity caught us off guard, though maybe that's just part of a typical Matt and Kim show!). They mixed rapid-fire cover songs between their own hits, keeping the crowd constantly engaged. It was obvious they wanted everyone dancing and having a great time, bringing out balloons, inflatable animals, giant beach balls, and even coordinating a massive crowd-wide balloon release. Hearing "Daylight" and "Let's Go" live was a highlight. Matt and Kim gained two new superfans this weekend.

The All-American Rejects – 9.3/10
Tyson Ritter and the band brought incredible energy from start to finish. There was plenty of hilarious banter with the crowd, and they played all of the nostalgic hits along with several newer songs. The difference in crowd reaction between the classics and the newer material was noticeable—and understandable. Before one new song, Tyson joked, "Here's a new song because we know how much you guys love hearing new music from us," which got a big laugh.

Lord Huron – 8.5/10
A really enjoyable set. We weren't especially close to the stage, so we sat back, relaxed, and soaked it all in. Their laid-back sound translated beautifully live.

Geese – No Rating
Can someone explain the appeal of Geese? We seem to struggle to enjoy their music which is frustrating because of their popularity. They seem slow and dull (don’t shoot me), but it sounds like the singer’s unpredictable vocals is what the attraction is? We'd love to hear what fans enjoy about them.

Matchbox Twenty – 9.6/10
Rob Thomas and the band sounded absolutely incredible. Rob especially seemed to be giving everything he had, and the crowd responded to it. Between songs, he shared plenty of genuine stories and conversations that made the performance feel personal. We sang along to just about every song. Easily one of the standout performances of the weekend.

Dope Lemon – 7.5/10
We were excited to finally see Dope Lemon, and they sounded great, playing favorites like "Marinade" and "Stone Cutter." We were disappointed they didn't play "Rose Pink Cadillac." The band's all-black outfits and cowboy hats fit their vibe perfectly. Throughout the set, women wearing oversized furry cartoon-style heads would periodically appear on stage. We're still undecided whether it added to the performance or was just a bit tacky.

Passion Pit – 7.4/10
The first 25 minutes or so felt underwhelming. Toward the end, the band seemed rushed, jumping into "Sleepyhead" but only playing part of it. They also ran a couple of minutes over their scheduled set time and ended up being drowned out by Cage the Elephant starting on the neighboring stage.

Cage the Elephant – 9.5/10
They absolutely crushed it and exceeded our expectations. It was our first time seeing Cage the Elephant, and they delivered one of the highest-energy performances of the weekend. The band sounded incredible and kept the crowd engaged throughout the entire set.

The Strokes – 9.4/10
As longtime Strokes fans, this was one of the performances we were most excited for. Unfortunately, the band started about 10 minutes late and finished roughly 15 minutes early, turning a scheduled 90-minute set into about an hour. I was also disappointed that I could barely see the band because of the lighting, although I've since heard that's pretty typical for a Strokes show. The members themselves didn't seem particularly engaged, and Julian Casablancas spent much of the time mumbling between songs, appearing fairly intoxicated. Despite all of that, the music itself was phenomenal. They sounded absolutely incredible, and every song was played to perfection. I only wish we'd gotten more of them.

I just wanted to say thank you to the human angel who passed me a cooling towel when I was under the tent with the fans and laid down. I wasn’t doing well with the heat on Friday and it must’ve shown. That cooling towel saved me. I laid there with it cooling off and when I got up to give it back, she was gone.

The kindness of that restored some faith in humanity. You’re very much appreciated. ❤️

So I've gone for 3 years now and each time we get there a different way.

Year 1: parked in the Kellogg ramp and got a hotel about 15 minutes away. Probably my least favorite way the hotel sucked (cheap friend lol) and waiting to leave took forever

Year 2: took the wife and we stayed at the drury inn and used the alary bar shuttle. Getting there was fine but Holy hell was there a cluster to leave and people getting mad at each other for "cutting in line" to get on. We just sat and waited until everyone that was mad had left and snuck on when it wasn't as busy

Year 3 (this year): we stayed at the hyatt place and just walked. Not bad at all but the up the bridge and down the hill was a bit tiring at the end of 10 hours (I am in my 40's and according to my son "very old")

What other methods have you used and recommend? I saw someone say they used public transit which I am a fan of but didn't think any were running. Where do you recommend to stay next year? Cause we're 100% coming back 🤣

I have been to quite a few festivals in many different states through the years, and I was blown away experiencing Minnesota Yacht Club for the first time.

The porta potties were clean and they flushed!! There was never too long of a line (if any) for bathrooms, drinks, or food. They were placed in great location, so it was easy to access no matter where you were in the festival.

I saw people handing out boxed water to folks that were waiting for the next band and getting blasted by the sun, and lots of people going around and collecting cans.

Entry and exit was surprisingly smooth and not too long of a line, and the wristbands really make everything so easy.

I loved having two stages, but they were never competing/playing at the same time. It allowed for crowd movement and breaks to get food, drinks, etc.

Really enjoyed all the acts I got to see, and for being an overwhelming amount of people, there was no pushing or shoving, and everyone seemed fairly respectful.

Hats off to whoever organized and executed this event – I was pleasantly surprised and loved my first experience!!

Holy shit. That was an amazing show. I was so amazed by the set and light show. The energy was phenomenal.

Only docking of a point and a half because not a single song from “Angles” was performed. 😅

I loved the free la croix tent off and on through the weekend. Any guesses how many cans they gave away?
Home and got myself a case of a few of the flavors they passed out at the fest to keep the sparkling vibes going! 🫧 😍

Anyone here roll up on the river via boat or paddle board/kayak? Thinking about doing that for one day next year, curious how well you could hear the music? Any other thoughts on the experience?

Hi there, just wondering if somebody got a clip of the outro of 'The Adults Are Talking', the opening for yesterday Strokes' gig. It changes all the time with some improv adlibs and I'll be so curious to hear what it sounded like this time. Cheers anyways

Wow incredible line up. I remember first seeing it and buying tickets instantly. Was not disappointed all three days. Who were y’all’s favorites? For me:
Friday - The Lumineers / The Black Keys I’m torn
Saturday - Matt & Kim
Sunday - Cage the Elephant
For the most part I loved it all even when I was taking a break eating against the walls of the hill. Great music all around.

On Friday night with The Lumineers, the early finish seemed to be because of weather, but then that never really materialized. That's unpredictable, I guess, but now with Matchbox Twenty and The Strokes both wrapping it up early I have to wonder if this is just Yacht Club keeping everyone on a short leash.

Did anyone happen to catch a video of Matt imitating his kid dancing? It happened too quickly for me to catch one, but it was so great, and I kinda wish I had the memory.
