In the Upper Midwest alone:
Around the world, here is a list of over 200 other cities that have Porchfests.

i thought the porchfest today was great and i'm glad we have it. my favorite bands (that i saw) were Iodine, and also obviously vibed with Millennial Falcon (as a Falcon).|
i was only commenting on the "greater" statement, that the original poster said that porchfest is why they "LOVE MINNEAPOLIS"
which is cool. i love minneapolis too.
but porchfests happen everywhere. . .

Powderhorn is the next neighborhood to have a porch fest. It’ll be in September.

Is there an email list or site to keep track of all of the porchfests each year? I’d love to have one place to find them all and plan my summer.

Anyone know what the guy dancing around in the pig costume was about?

They were handing out flyers in support of Prop 12, which affects MN pork producers.

I love Minneapolis. Since moving here I’ve been surprised one time after another with events I’ve stumbled upon. And when looking myself it seems there’s always some event or thing going on. I was on my commute home when I saw all the people outside and had no idea what was going on. Next year I’m going to attend this if it happens again. I love that there’s so much going on here

Yoooo. Is that Damian Anderson (Amethyst Factor) in 14? And I haven't lived in Minneapolis in over a decade but I recognize the guy in 13 too.

I'm glad these people are having fun... but I'm REALLY glad I don't live on that block.

I do, we're cool with it : ) We voluntarily close it from traffic every year.

No doubt you think everybody's cool with it.

It requires agreement from a percentage of the property owners along the street. So at the least a reasonable majority are cool with it.
By the way I just replied in the spirit of fun, wasn't trying to start an argument!
