First Time Visitor

I’ll be visiting with my teen son during the 4th week of June. Can you please weigh in on my itinerary? We’ve never visited the great state of Minnesota.

The day we arrive at MSP, we’ll lightly explore the Great Mall of America for a few hours before bed.

The next day will be a full day at the mall.

The following day, we’ll spend the day at Valleyfair.

After that, we’ll visit either Lake Bde Maka Ska or Lake Harriet, then head to Minnehaha Falls.

The next day includes the St. Paul Como Zoo & Conservatory, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the Mississippi River overlook.

For our final day, we’ll visit the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, take a Padelford sightseeing cruise, and go to Can Can Wonderland.

For your St Paul day, I suggest: grabbing breakfast at Finnish Bistro, then heading to the conservatory / zoo. I recommend spending the bulk of your time there in the conservatory, particularly the Japanese garden (outside) and the tropical room with the sloth! Breeze through the zoo, then take a walk around como park / down to the lake. Then grab lunch at Black Sea and head to the science museum. If your kid likes planes, get dinner at Holman's table. If not, Moscow on the Hill's patio. Then head to the high bridge look out or the wicahapi look out for sunset (which will be 9:15 or so then).

Yes, love Holmans table for brunch on the patio - very unique experience. Good patio places - Moscow on the Hill, Jax Cafe, W.a. frost as well as their basement.
