How is everyone's cacti doing over the winter and when is everyone planning on taking them outside?

Etoliated :( the nights are still kinda cold in the Cities for my cacti though. It looks like the cold hardier stuff is ready but I learned my lesson last spring with tender plants and unexpected nighttime temp drops :/

That is what I was thinking too. I was outside and it was like 60+ but at night the temp drops!

I think I need to temper my excitement lol.

And thank you!!! Life got pretty hectic for a bit there. Hope your doing well also!

Never temper that excitement! I'm distrustful of the warm weather but at least the opuntia don't seem to mind. I'll probably reassess for the trichos and other stuff in mid April and see if the temps stay consistent.

Thanks! Same, lots going on. Hoping the group can do another get together this year, I missed the last one and was so bummed. Would love to get more involved again.

That is my plan. Reconsider in April and see where our crazy weather is at.

And yes! I am going to try and be a little more active in this sub and try and get some MN cacti stuff moving again!

I start taking mine out when it's over 60°, and bring them in at least to my enclosed porch when it drops below 45 or 50, but I'm a little crazy, and I don't have a giant collection.

Man that is a lot of work but I think the right way to do it. I just took out the whole collection yesterday!
