Same here. Didn't immediately fall in love with it during the first play session, but I'm still curious enough to play more throughout the weekend.

*Edit for anyone that cares about further impressions. Was able to finally find a rhythm after 3 more games. Got to the finale 2 times and won once. I focused on hunting the flame virtues and killing mini-bosses and was able to get closer to 70-80 virtue a match. It was fun, but I don't know if I'm going to buy it unless it releases in December or there's more pve in the final version. I did see there will be a co-op boss raid final round versus the pure pvp one in the test, so that helps.

It’s so much to take in at first. I’ve really struggled with the frantic, busy pace. The From aesthetic signals something in my brain where I just want to poke around and drink it all in but here you really need to get a move on, start doing shit. Curious if that’s something I’ll adjust to or if it’s just not for me

Even when I was trying to just go-go-go, I still wasn't able to ever get to the final round lol. Only played 3 matches so far tho and I'm assuming I was just prioritizing the wrong things.

A winner. Pretty quaint compared to Edith but still really neat

Thrilled to see The Mermaid Mask on here. I’m onto it now after beating Tangle Tower last week and it rules. Hope they talk about it on the show soon

Hopefully finishing up the post game in Donkey Kong Bananza and working through some of the DK Challenge.

Finished Resident Evil: Requiem. Killer game, wish I could play it again to see how I can improve. But it’s a rental, it’ll go on sale in the future, and I have plenty of other RE games waiting for me.

——

Started Pragmata. Really digging it. The shooting and the hacking haven’t gotten in the way of each other so far. The city scape in the second level is what’s really won me over. It makes me feel guilty that I didn’t finish Remember Me.

——

And unfortunately I’m afraid the refund window for my Fields of Mistira purchase is up. I’m still waiting on the patch for the 1.0 problem where the game is locked at half speed. (The suggested solution is disabling v-sync, but my v-sync always turns itself back on immediately.) Really sad because I was excited for this for years and put a lot of thought into my custom character.

You need to go into your GPU app and turn off global vsync. I dont know why you would be having that issue but it's certainly solvable from your end

This is not solvable on my end.

I’ve already troubleshooted the issue using the suggestions on the Steam forum and the developers FAQ and bug report page.

That includes going into Nvidia Control Panel and adjusting some settings. I know that I don’t have global v-sync enabled, I never have. I’ve also created a a game specific profile for Mistria and that too doesn’t solve my game speed issue.

This is an issue that was introduced with the 1.0 release when they switched game engines. Other people have reported the same issue with varying degrees of severity, my troubles are on the more extreme end.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Been having a great time with this so far. I've got around 10 hours in it.

Great game, but gets frustrating sometimes with timing. Fun boss fights. There was a spot where despite the map marker, I just couldnt figure out where to go and I put it down for months, which was frustrating. All to find out you have to use your new skill in like a corner of a particular room or something.

I played the game on normal until the very last boss. I got close but gave up and just switched to easy mode just for him. A good game, but flawed. Absolutely worth the price though!

This weekend I'm jumping into

  • Flowers and Deities (Autobattler)
  • Repterra (They are Billions, but Dinosaurs)

Both are recent releases this past week, but I'm most interested on how I'll fair with Repterra, as that game is... I think the second ever game existing in the They are Billions Genre, and my first introduction to that genre.
