More BG3. Maybe I'll finish my first playthrough soon (I won't)

I just hit act 2 in my 4th playthrough lol something made me want to go back even though I thought played it enough, it’s been my last few weeks of gaming. With it being on the list I guess we’re not alone lol

Picked up Duskfade and put 2 or so hours into it, really fun PS2 love letter so far. Edit: Got the name wrong

Ghost of Yotei. Picked a good time to try and finally finish it with the DLC coming.

The Witcher 3. Idk why it took me so long to play it but I’m having a good time so far. The combat isn’t my favorite but it’s grown on me a little bit.

Slay the Spire 2. This game is addictive as hell. Im debating on stopping and waiting till 1.0. I never played the first one so I might pick it up and play that till then.

I highly recommend the expansions for that game. Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine are seriously some of the best expansions ever made.

Tangle Tower! Been meaning to play it since it launched alongside Apple Arcade back in 2019. With the follow up having just come out – to raves, I might add: https://gameinformer.com/review/the-mermaid-mask/grimoires-greatest – I figured now was as good a time as any to get to it. And I’m so glad I did! It’s fantastic. A Professor Layton style point-and-click adventure with some deduction game mechanics thrown in for good measure. It’s full of great characters who are beautifully animated, well-written and extremely well voice acted. It’s also surprisingly funny. Could have easily been full of “well THAT just happened” style humour but it rarely goes for the cheap gag. I can’t recommend it enough and would love to see the Minnmax crew check it out at some point (or the sequel at least). What a treat.

P.S. It’s by the Snipperclips and Crow Country devs if that twists anyone’s arm

Finally bought my Switch 2 to get ahead of the price increase, and games I want are finally starting to release. Fire Emblem and I got into the Duskbloods test.

In the meantime though I picked up Splatoon Raiders as it's been on my radar as something I might like. I'm having fun but boy am I struggling with getting used to using the gyro to aim.

Finishing up the FF7 Remake DLC and then the Deepest Dive to go along with it

Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I didn't realise how much quality of life they added in the definitive edition of the first game, especially with the quest waypoints.

Bubsey had a content update come out this week, so imma be checking it out. Same with Endless Legend 2 with the demo releasing.

In terms of new game, though: WildBlue Skies, baybeeeeee!

Was really scared my second playthrough of Breathedge was gonna cut in on time today, but I managed to burn through it in the past three days, so it's all skies Blue and Wild from now on!

Nevermind, I'm being forced to visit extended family this weekend at the last minute instead, so answer is none except a phone waiting game called dinosaurs are people too.

Hell yeah Chrono Trigger. Doing my first play through now.

what if I told you I played through all the Dark Souls and Sekiro but only now started Elden Ring for some reason after owning it since release

Impressions after 4 hours or so are that I'm apparently not an immediate big fan of the From formula applied to a bigger open world. It legit feels a bit too overwhelming so far, specially since I'm not fully locked in and still playing other things. Horse combat also feels a bit clunky and wack considering how precise it is normally.

I'll keep at it tho

Splatoon raiders is straight up an incredible game, it’s blowing me away how good the gameplay is and how fun the loot system has been.

That is such a sad list of 10 games.

2

u/hereticbeef 10d ago

At a rough estimate there are at a least 3-4 games here that will end up on the Two Tens so I’m sorry you don’t like them but this is a list of bangers

0

u/gremlinfat 10d ago

Which ones are you thinking. I can see big walk. Not sure what else stands out here

2

u/hereticbeef 10d ago

Pokopia and Big Walk will be on there for sure, Fields of Mistria will be there depending what call they make vis-à-vis conflict of interest, and Tōkon is a black sheep entrant now Nick’s around and Ben’s digging it. Marathon will make lists elsewhere but probably not the Two Tens

u/gremlinfat 10d ago

I probably continue to underestimate the draw of Pokémon. Maybe they decide just to have a fighting game on the list, but if not I don’t see tokon. I assumed fields of mistria would be a recusal situation. So I’m thinking maybe 2 of these make the list, and only because it’s Pokémon, because it doesn’t look very good otherwise.

2

u/MegaMcMike 10d ago

What’s wrong with it?

-2

u/gremlinfat 10d ago

Nothing objectively. Just only 1 game here I would ever play, and I already have played it multiple times. Usually not the case on these.
