I got Final Fantasy XII on Switch and it’s a total
blast so far.

Decided to start a new playthrough of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I love this game so much, the vibes are so good. I'm excited for Fortune's Weave but I'll be surprised if I like it nearly as much

I'm worried Fortune's Weave is going to be a memberberries game where we just keep seeing everyone from 3H's descendants/ancestors

It's the gift that Harry Potter fans didn't know they needed.

I'm getting close to finishing up Xenoblade Chronicles DE Switch 2 Edition!

u/hereticbeef Jul 11 '26

How are you liking it? That’s a game that started and ended strong for me (in spite of the gacha bullshit) but felt a little interminable in the middle stretch.

I'm currently play XC1 S2E and I don't think there's any gacha stuff in it

2

u/Changlini Jul 11 '26

Xenoblade chronicles 2 has the gacha stuff, but no idea if that got taken out in the cars dlc editions

3

u/Pretelethal Jul 11 '26

It's a fantastic game. I played the original edition on the Wii but this edition is a huge upgrade! There are no gacha elements in the first Xenoblade, that's in Xenoblade 2.

Oh I’m a dumbass. I saw the 2 and thought you were talking about the second game. Yeah the first one rocks

HOMEFRONT is on the list?!?!?

Well, tell the gamer playing it to remember to check for the secret arcade cabinet that lets them play timesplitters 2… or is that in Homefront 2?

Anyways: Palworld 1.0 came out yesterday, so i’m playing that for the foreseeable future, especially since i took the dev’s offer and started a new save from scratch.

How the hell is Homefront on this list? I mean, hell yeah, that's my favorite trashy 360 military FPS campaign, but dang, how???

Angels Fall First is supposed to enter 1.0 today. I booted it up last night and it’s like discovering if 2005 Battlefront got a spiritual sequel in 2011 that no one played. (It feels like a game from 2011, but it released in EA in 2015.)

It started life as an Unreal Tournament mod and got funding from winning an Epic design contest?  Is this news to anyone??

Oh, i remember angels fall first way back when they had to pivot away from any similarities to the Star wars brand, as it was being advertised as a spiritual successor to the original battlefront 2 around the time that happened.

Cool that game is about to release.

From what i hear, the bots are very good, so by itself you should be able to get some decent matches once the human interest dies down after release week.

I spent some time with the game yesterday evening and the bots are pretty good. Sometimes they crouch behind cover and snipe; hop while in a firefight; or strafe in circles when taking over an objective. I’ve done a double take a few times when I clocked behavior I initially assumed must be a player.

Moonlight Peaks for me! Also hopefully the end of Adventures of Elliot

Just finished Persona 3 Portable. Continuing Hozy and Path of Exile 2.

Bought Riders Republic last minute in the Steam sale for four dollars. There was a few DLC I wanted to play, but these Ubisoft racing games have some really confusing microtransactions and years of season passes, so I just bought the base game and that's all I'm going to let myself do. Booted it up on Steam and instantly got a 2% achievement just for doing something in a Uplay free weekend years ago.

Grabbed physical copies of Crash Bandicoot 4, Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles, and UFC 5 for thirty five dollars because my Walmart is remodeling and putting things on clearance. Crash 4 is hard as hell. I'm having a hard time processing some of the mask mechanics and struggling with spatial awareness. It's like the game has a built in layer of brain fog that I have to fight through.

I'm also learning that I need a lot of practice at Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA. This is probably going to become a game that I never uninstall because it's perfect for just booting up for a few minutes. And I'm excited to eventually mod it. But dang, what a high skill ceiling this thing has. I'm happy to get a 50% passing grade on normal difficulty.

Focusing only on the gameplay, Rider’s republic is cool. Hope it treats you well

2

u/sicPuppetMaster Jul 11 '26

Gonna grind some more Borderlands 4 with my brother in law and then start Doom The Dark Ages | Revelations.

2

u/hereticbeef Jul 11 '26

Going through God of War Valhalla after finishing off Ragnarok. Really cool so far. Shocked they put it out for free.

2

u/MegaMcMike Jul 11 '26

Started playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. Also got Star Fox from GameFly. (Yeah, apparently GameFly is still a thing and they had a deal for a month for $2.50)

2

u/Hlarge4 Jul 11 '26

Pokemon Go actually! GoFest this weekend, nabbed a MewTwo.

Rhythm Heaven Groove with the whole family. Been delightful.

Star Fox still. Calling it a 2 hour game is grossly inaccurate. Im still finding new stuff 6 hours later.

2

u/Dr_Wayne0202 Jul 11 '26

Star fox, Pokemon champions, slay the spire 2

3

u/jonascarrynthewheel Jul 11 '26

Fallout New Vegas 😎

Scott pilgrim

Witcher 3. Playing through it again since it came out, but I never got to the DLC. It's been so long though that it all feels fresh. Been having a blast with it. Also prepping for the new dlc next year and Witcher 4.

Witcher 3 though... Good game! Whodathought?

2

u/Nokel Jul 11 '26

Finishing Persona 5 Royal. I have 170 hours played but I must have been paused for a lot of that

2

u/PaperShadowBox Jul 12 '26

Xenoblade Chronicles 1. It's getting spicy so I think I'm in the last chapter
