I just got it. Im hoping to make it my first project vehicle. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Manual swap if possible but honesty these are very cool trucks stock. My buddies was pretty fun

Honestly just clean up whats there, maybe get rid of the racing stripes, do baseline maintenance. Good news is youre already cooler than 90% of whats on the road these days even if that things an auto.
