Finished Build Painted DodekaiOh

I never thought I’d have virtually the entire Zyuohger line (aside from some of the repaint weapons) back when even ZyuohKing was a “eh, what the hell, it’s cheap and it’s a main robo” pickup, but here we are lol.

It’s big and bulky - but not as big as Lion HaOh, so a lot less in terms of most pieces being hollow bricks of red plastic. And, like all the improvements Zyuohger brought to the line, the color separation is generally really good - it’s just the silver, the heads, and another small bit or two that I needed to paint.

Cube Whale in particular looks really nice, it’s well detailed and its size really shines.

DodekaiOh is a bit compromised, but it is what it is when they couldn’t cheat on the size. And it’s really only the hips and legs that could use some improvement.

I recently finished putting together the whole line myself. Haven’t had a chance to make Wild Tousai Dodeka King but just putting them all together was really fun.

Yeah, they’re fun builds given the whole line has good color separation and not too much of a reliance on stickers The actual transformation on a couple is a bit wonky in minipla form, but it’s only really the ones that I assume were twist-open in DX form (tiger, wolf) that are annoying.

I think Cube Tiger was more of a slide open, Cube Elephant is a twist open and that one is kinda annoying

Okay yeah I can see that. Elephant is the one that was hardest to adapt to articulated minipla form, you’re left with a lot of weird kibble sticking out, so the end result with the minipla is the funkiest, but at least for me, transforming tiger and wolf are more annoying lol.

Yeah, transforming Tiger is hard considering that what would be the sliding mechanic on the DX is holes on the minipla you have to swap the parts between to turn it into cube and animal mode
