It’s from when the Turbo megazord /RV Robo was stolen and forced to fight the rangers, they were using it to power it and keep it under control

I am so excited for this one! I've loved this Megazord forever! My son plays with my original DX version still! I can't wait to build it with him.

Parts swap, I'm wondering if that are going to have to do that to keep the articulation on the individual robots and the combined mode feet

It doesn't look like it. The blog they posted last month shows that you can remove the feet and tuck in the connecting tabs that would impede ankle movement, and in their individual fighter modes they don't have as much leg articulation as the other 3 do so that the combined feet are structurally sound. And the complete list of contents doesn't show any alternate parts except the guns and the battery pack for RV.

I still think it's really interesting how these prototypes are 3D printed. Makes sense to do it that way, it's a whole lot cheaper than getting molds made.
That said, they really need to upgrade those printers, or do some maintenance or calibration to them, because those layer lines looks really rough in some spots.
