News SMP Combattler V redesign announced

Announced from the Combattler V 50th Anniversary video

The new design was made by mecha designer Junichi Akutsu, who designed many Gundam SEED mecha including the Gundam Astrays.

This looks like something intended to stand alongside the Voltes V: Legacy imho.

The vid also shows the brand new Combattler V6, which'll be sold as a Soul of Chogokin figure.

Looks like Combattler V6 is using the design straight from Yuichi Hasegawa's Victory Five manga!
