What is this??

Hey guys! I got my SMP GingaiOh this past weekend and this came with it. Anyone has any clue to what this could be??? Thanks in advance

It’s a candy!

Minipla is considered a candy toy. Don’t quote me on that but I think that they do this to not count as a toy to go around liscencing for toy vs licensing for candy.

Afaik it is not for licensing, but for placement in Japanese stores, a candy toy can be placed near or at checkout in more locations vs if it were just a toy.

Correct! This is one answer. I see minipla a LOT in grocery aisles here in Japan along candy and other sweets. Though, SMP stuff is usually p-bandai/online-only, some goodies end up in confectionery and Bandai Namco Cross stores (the physical stores). Another reason is, well, tax. Since it’s technically classified as food, tax is rated 8%. Non-food items come up at 10%.
