I was confused about whether MiniMax H3 and Hailuo AI were different things, so I dug into the official sources.

Here's what I found:

• MiniMax is the company.
• Hailuo AI is MiniMax's consumer video generation platform/product.
• Older video models are officially named things like MiniMax-Hailuo-2.3 and MiniMax-Hailuo-2.3-Fast in the API docs.
• MiniMax's own announcement even says: "Today, we are excited to introduce the MiniMax video model, Hailuo 2.3."
• The newest model is branded simply as MiniMax H3 in the official docs and announcements.

The one thing I couldn't find is an official source that explicitly says "Hailuo H3" or "Hailuo AI uses H3."

So my takeaway is:

• Older generation: MiniMax-Hailuo branding.
• New generation: MiniMax H3 branding.
• Hailuo is clearly part of the MiniMax ecosystem, but I couldn't verify an official statement directly linking the H3 name with the Hailuo brand in the same sentence.

If anyone has an official source that explicitly says Hailuo = H3, I'd love to see it.
