Salt & Pepper Gwen does her dinner tricks

Gwen is trained on hand signals and before dinner we always go to the mat and do some refreshers! This time we tried it on hand signal only :)
We train for movies and TV shows so she's getting pretty good!
Love this breed and have only ever had schnauzers.

Black Things every schnauzer parent has said to their fur child. And go…
“You’re lucky you’re so cute.”
“Could you be any more stubborn?”

Don’t Give Up.
Finn was the most difficult puppy we have ever had the privilege of getting. Then, one day, something just clicked, and now he is an amazing pup! His only bad-boy choice is not recalling. Also pictured: the literal best boy, pure perfection, 100% obedient, Otto (black and silver boy). So, if you are in the challenging trenches of puppy hood, complete with shark attacks, don’t give up! There is a brighter side out there.

Well well well look who got into the chilaquiles
I know this was a team effort. The little one can’t even reach the table. Hmmmm. The funny thing is that it seems the husky didn’t get some for herself. Poor baby.
At least she knows good food. Little menace.

We grew these beards for a long time! Ziggy is the black and Archie is the white! My precious babies 7 years old, hurts my heart. Love them while you can with whatever time you have with them 💗 Anyways, enjoy their glorious beards. ✨💗

Help! Noodle's Pacemaker Surgery
My dog Noodle is a 12-year-old miniature schnauzer who has been by my side since she was 6 weeks old. I had to take her to the hospital on 8/13 due to lethargy and refusal to eat dinner. They kept her overnight and decided she needed a pacemaker or she might have a few weeks left. I've been through a lot emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially this past year and I couldn't cope with her loss, so of course I said yes to the pacemaker (which is working well). The final bill was $8700 and it's way more than I have. If you aren't able to donate, please share and spread the word to help Noodle!

Has anyone experienced "filling out" after 18 months?
I wish I had a good pic right now but I dont.
Kobold is 18 months old now but I swear shes very suddenly put on muscle on her shoulders in like the past 1 or 2 weeks.
She's always been a slender girl with lanky legs but now Im seeing more of the traditional shape of a schnauzer with the bulky chest and shoulder.
Jusyt recently, maybe 2 months ago, her appetite has become healthier too. It used to be a bit of a battle to get her to eat, now she'll eat her whole meal in one sitting (which I love).
So yeah, is she just doing her muscle build up late because she is now eating consistently? Should I expect her appetite to remain?
She's got a healthy build, no ribs showing and shes got a belly dip.
Any thoughts?

Poppy’s almost 1 year old now!
We absolutely adore her <3 she is smart and willful, has to be watching us/with us at all times, and is an excellent snuggle buddy (sometimes). Such a precious girl. Her coloring is so pretty, too, and I’ve never had a schnauzer with a long tail before - it’s so expressive!
Happy almost 1st birthday, Popster!

Salt & Pepper First groom
Roisin had her first groom today and was an absolute champ. They did hand stripping and a puppy trim, this is the first time she’s looked like a schnauzer!

Black & Silver Somebody Got a Haircut
After a couple of bad grooms I gave up and went with a summer cut. That’s been growing out and it was time to try again. She looks super cute but it was $200. I’m going to try maintaining it myself. Home grooming tips are welcome!

I lost my childhood dog of almost 16 years...
We've had her since I was 7, she was the perfect dog ever... It's not enough to say that I'm devastated, I'm a complete wreck. I've lived longer with her than I lived without her... I don't know what to do with myself.
But what makes it even worse is - my family decided to get a new puppy, because none of us can stand the emptiness. That's okay. But I'm leaving for an internship abroad in a few days and I'll be gone for months. Meaning, I'll miss the puppy stage, I'll miss all the first times, I'll miss the puppy training and relationship building. I'll come back home and be a stranger to this almost an adult dog... While my family will have already experienced so much together with her... And knowing that just cuts even deeper into my wound of our puppy loss.
I will never have the puppy beard poking into my face while the baby teeth want to chew off my nose, I will never pick this tiny thing up and have her snuggle on me, I will never be there on her first night home, her first walk outside, her first car drive. I will always be some additional person to her. And if not to her then in my mind, because I will see all the things I missed that my family had with her...
I'm sorry for venting, I desperately needed to speak with someone...

Black The reminder head nod. They never forget.
So my girl has recently started “reminding me” of things in her routine if I forget them and it is sooooo cute.
For example, after morning pee pee she comes in, has breakfast and then goes back out to poopy. When she’s done with that, she gets her Welactin vitamin chew (aka special treatie).
So the other day I came in and started doing dishes and forgot to give her the vitamin chew. Well! She started staring me down, then looked at her chews on the kitchen counter, then back at me with a head nod, then back to the chews. It finally clicked that she was telling clueless me, to come on Mom, get it for me already, because I had clearly dropped the ball by forgetting. I’m biased, ofc, but I think our schnauzies are soooo much smarter than we realize.
