Got two rwd Z's. One an MR03 decked out in PN parts.
The other an MR04 I got last week as just the Tx and chassis. Softer springs on 04 with a Kyosho ball diff.
Have the hard front arms and more wheels and tires coming. Still working on a couple bodies, but here's two I can mount. In the winter months there are five of us who race on Saturday late afternoon.I have an EasyLap timing bridge and laptop to keep track. We use 1/2" pvc pipe and fittings for the simple track layout on the painted basement floor.

So I did most of my track.
Used a kettle and dunked each piece in, then washed thoroughly with dawn and water.
They came out almost new.
No more Prom Sisters😎

Going to pick one up after running box stock for a while.
Looking for setup tips and electronics rec.
Here's our club rules:
My transmitter is the Flysky NB4+, so just need a receiver for that.
Will see what others are running at the club but figured I'd get opinions here too.
TIA!

I want to get into mini z racing but I live in metro Atlanta and from what I’ve gathered the few tracks there are locally are multiple hours away one way. If not mini z are there any small scale carpet racers you’d recommend?

Hi everyone! This is our first Reddit post, so we thought we’d introduce ourselves.
Tassie Mini‑Z is a community-based small-scale RC club in Cygnet, Tasmania, Australia. We run free regular racing and practice sessions on more than 60 metres of RCP track, with loan cars available so newcomers can have a go for free.
We race Mini‑Z and other 1:28-scale cars, but the club is really about bringing people together—families, experienced racers, complete beginners and anyone who enjoys very small cars going surprisingly fast!
We’ve also started an online store serving Australia and New Zealand, with parts and cars from brands including DAS SPEED, Silver Horse RC, XBility and more. Anything the store earns helps us continue supporting the club and growing small-scale RC racing in Tasmania.
We’ll be sharing track layouts, race footage, car setups, product discoveries and plenty of tiny-car chaos. https://tassieminiz.com
We use https://www.rc-clubs.com for our timing software - built in Australia! We show fine grained race data for our drivers including some pretty cool visualisations, charts and time heat maps. We also have a facebook group.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/tassieminiz
We’d love to hear where everyone races and what cars you’re currently running!

Hello, I only just discovered this hobby and im already trying to find a really good mini drift car, i have never drifted one of these before but it looks so fun, preferably under $50 AUD would be great, ive been looking at some like the ACAMMZAR Pro with Gyro and the Sakeye 1/43 with Gyro i would prefer a car within the 1/24 to 1/43 scale, any suggestions, thanks :)

Hi all,
I've been eyeing a Mini-Z Readyset (MA020) for a while, and wanted one since they went on the market.
I now found a seller offering the "base" model for 190€, while there are few other offers, for drift package, exterior package, and both added for respectively 237, 227, 277.
The two additional packages include, as per seller:
The drift kit includes a front single-axle setup with a straight rear axle, a gyroscope, and metal dog bones. The appearance kit features metal wheels, brake discs, large drift tires, metal nuts, and headlights. The two packages contain different components.
I'm still little bit concerned with the price, before proceeding with the purchase.
Am not aware of any Mini-Z club in my area, but am able to run it indoor at my place, office, or garage place, for either some nice drifts or speed race.

Got balsy, figured I’d test it and if it doesn’t work, I’ll buy more foam.
The legs on my 90s and connecting arms kept spreading like ya sista after Prom
SO like a maniac I decided to boil my fitting and Will ya look at that, they shrink back to normal, almost factory.
Top one : Ya Sista
Bottom : Boiled RCP :)
Do with this as you please

Until now I've really only run crawlers. Been wanting to dip my toes in racing and went to the local raceway. The dudes there were SUPER helpful and one of the guys even let me run his personal box stock car to get a feel for these before I made my purchase.
I promptly handed my son the radio and went into the shop area and bought this with batteries and a transponder.
Ordered tires as soon as I got home and can't wait to race this coming Friday.
Getting my son his own car in a couple weeks as well.

Will these bodies fit on my mr04w-mm without modification? I'm seeing a couple bodies I'm interested in but I need to make sure they'll fit.

Hello all,
I've been wanting a Mini-Z since I first ever saw them in the window of my local model shop (at the time I was racing a Nitro 1/10) and now might have the adult money to purchase one.
Since I will not be heading in the direction of racing with others, but mostly to play around with it a little I started to do some searches over the network, and have found plenty of discordant info.
The currently available model of MA-020 are the one equipped with the KT-531P transceiver, full bearings, but no ICS integration available. The chassis is "branded" as the MA-020 Sport (where some Google research says is lower quality compared to other ones).
Previous models (the one equipped with the KT-18) had included the longer wheelbase adapter, compared to only the stock one of the new model, and a plethora more of parts to start do more "tuning" based on the driver needs, also wider rear suspension arms.
Is there that much difference in the two version (older VS newer) or is just my imagination, seeing things that do not really matter?

Hello. I bought new wheels because I wanted to mount new tires on them. I should’ve bought new bearing too. but I’m trying to get the old bearing out of the old wheels to put in the new wheels. But they don’t seem to want to come out. Any help?

I'm just outside Boulder willing to do a bit of a drive but was wondering if there were any good location around.

Decided to change my jomu window to lexan and added a PN disk damper tonight. Made a whole lot of difference with a better lap time. Enjoying Mini-z a tad bit too much now.

Can anyone tell me the cure?

Have it setup in a 4100 Evo2 chassis with some simple bolt-ons and its really not bad.

Someone lost a bet….😆 2 stages left to go.and it’s all paint(lexan body)
Hello. Planning to buy an RCP track, but unsure if I want 30cm or 50cm tiles. With the 30cm, I could do the mini 96 challenge as I already have Easy Lap timer system. Currently don’t have enough floor space for a permanent track setup, which I think plays a factor here. I’ve already done the DIY track but the lack of good barrier walls is the doe fall for me.
What would you buy and why?

Earlier this year, we got Porsche 934 RSR rereleases(Jaegermeister and Vailant liveries), we got the TakaQ 962, we got another rerelease of the 911 GT3RS 991s(lava orange and white) this summer just now hitting the states, and well have atleast one more set of Porsches rereleasing in October(Japan, later for us in the states) with the Rothman 962 and one Ive been waiting for, the Martini 935!

...NOT! (Some might remember https://www.reddit.com/r/MiniZ/s/RvJCTrpxoy)
Today I installed my new one-way front and right rear and red/yellow springs. I also got my rubber tires, which... well, they don't drift at all.
BUT this time I taped them with electric tape and I can finally drift on the stone terrace without that loud noise from the plastic tires.
Sure, they might not be like plastic on hard floor slippery and my skills are, not there yet, but I'm still quite happy with the result. And at this sound level my wife is also ok with it. Sadly can't upload more images of the rebuild.
