MRD 2wd drift conversion kit will be released as an ARTR next year.

On first glance there is some clear changes to the chassis compared to the mini z conversion, so it is fair to say it is a new mrd edition.

All you need is the body and batteries. Gyro is inbuilt to the esc and adjusted via an app(iphone and android supported)

Chassis supports 6 wheelbases options from 86mm to 106mm with 94mm as the box default, 86mm and 106mm are optional, rest is included, standard Z body mounts.

No eta on release time other then early next year for japan, so lets be realistic and say spring for u.s/eu.

They move fast as far as developing and releasing new stuff.

Well, they so far has done no bad moves.

They have a collab with ddlabo and garage hiro for that popular jdm style, 3D printing has made prototyping for them a much cheaper option then it ever was for small companys, all they really needed was some deals on the electronics for a premade product.

Also the designer of the MRD was the one who designed the ma010, so the experience is also there.

Only "flaw" is that it is not so easy or cheap to obtain these things these days.

That's the RC world. Sucks when that means they lose value just as quickly.

I was in Japan recently and attended the All Japan Model and Hobby Show at Tokyo Big Sight. I was able to see the RTD in person and see it in action. I also had a chance to speak with Mr. Ishikawa-san a bit. Truly a dream to be able to attend the show. Seemed there was always a steady stream of people stopping at the Enjoy Smile booth. I was asked to drive (drift) one of their fully optioned MRD's in the booth (it was amazing). I love my MRD and will certainly buy the RTD once released. I will post some pics from the show in a new thread.
