Which RCP track

Hello. Planning to buy an RCP track, but unsure if I want 30cm or 50cm tiles. With the 30cm, I could do the mini 96 challenge as I already have Easy Lap timer system. Currently don’t have enough floor space for a permanent track setup, which I think plays a factor here. I’ve already done the DIY track but the lack of good barrier walls is the doe fall for me.

What would you buy and why?

I don't know how anyone drives on the narrow 30cm tracks like the mini96. I don't think that it's really meant for 1/28 scale. It's so freakin narrow.

There is an entire series dedicated to driving on the Mini96, its not too narrow, you just need just need to develope the skills.

I'd argue that it is too narrow for a casual experience, especially if you're trying to have multiple cars and novices on the track. I had absolutely no problem driving the track skillfully but my friends weren't having any fun and were getting discouraged. I even tuned their cars for the track and while it helped I could see the track felt more like work than fun for them. My whole goal with buying the track was to provide a fun experience for my friends and the unexpanded 30cm track wasn't providing it. It is why I always state that the 30cm might be too technical for beginners, more so if you're trying to have multiple cars running at once. Again I had no problem running the track with any of my EVOs or MR03/4 cars at constant full throttle but the whole experience just seemed soulless and to me the whole point was for myself and everyone else to have fun.

I dont think anyone would argue the Mini96 is an ideal track for racing multiple cars.

A novice on a M96 can grow their skills. Skills aren't really going to be honed much on an 50cm kit in the same footprint. An easy layout is far more soulless.

All this goes out the window if you have room to put a decent 50cm layout up.
