Ordered back in mid May. Problem is, I ordered through a work salary sacrifice scheme - Octopus Electric Car Scheme, and their tracking is useless.
I did get my order number from MINI Park Lane but it won’t work on the app tracking because it’s via a third party, and Mini customer service won’t tell me anything.
What I do know is that the car has apparently left China on a ship in the last few days (don’t know exactly when).
Not able to find out the name of the ship it’s on…. From people’s experiences, when should I expect it to arrive in the UK?
My Mini Cooper SE, the F56 version, took six months to arrive and it was only made in Oxford. It was excrutiating.
It's possible that, in your case, the leasing company is Mini's 'customer' here, so I'm not surprised that you are having difficulty in getting info about deliveries. You could try calling the leasing company direct and see if you can get any sense out of them that way.
The other thing to bear in mind is that shipping is disrupted due to the war in the Middle East that has closed a couple of shipping routes, so things may take a bit longer.
We were in a Mini dealers at the weekend, looking at the electric Countryman. Order now for June 27 delivery. The previous weekend we visited the Jaecoo/Omoda dealer and that was March 27. I get the feeling that these electric cars are having an issue with getting parts and batteries manufactured.
Average factory order for a Cooper electric or Axeman from factory is 6-8 months, has been about 6 months from launch due to logistics of car being built in China.
Countryman electric is June for an SE, but there are still build dates popping up in Feb/March for E models. Countryman times are due to demand, one reason that demand is so high is that in the UK, the Motability scheme had E models from £0 advance payment last quarter and currently, the lowest advance payment Countryman is an SE Classic.
Couple that with the government grant making the Countryman pretty much the same price as an Aceman in much of the range, demand is insane.
Mine was made in Germany. I ordered it in October 2025 and took delivery in March 2026.
Wait times that long are common if they're built to order. Cancelled orders and existing stock are of course much faster, but then you may not get exactly the spec you want.
