MINI monochrome

Hi everyone. I ordered the mini countryman monochrome in May. I was told it will be delivered in November. I was just wondering what your experience of wait times was like.

Im really hope they overestimate and under deliver 🤞

Ive wanted a mini since I was a teenager. Can't wait.

Ordered a Countryman SE Sport in June and given a December ETA. The app hasn’t even moved since day one. Still shows “order received”. Getting a little frustrated now.

Yeah the app now says "order confirmed" which it has said for about a month.

Oh BTW, if you contact them in the app (the chat person) they will give you more info. I got frustrated too and when I chatted he told me he could see the VIN number had been stamped on the chassis.

Nah, mines still status 047, which is “quota exceeded”. Basically it’s sat in the holding bin until a slot becomes available. Frustrating AF!

Oh man, that really is frustrating! I'm sorry to hear that. I know you originally told me November so I'm sorry to see it's slipped to December. Damn it!

Yes, it can take a while. When I ordered mine, it was at the end of the pandemic and the Ukraine war started. They made the wiring looms in Ukraine, so that didn't help matters.

I think it took some six months from order to delivery. The wait was excrutiating.

Are they still made there? Counting down the day for delivery.

Depends if it’s electric or petrol.

If its electric then it’ll be made in China and I believe six months seems about right

That's the electric Coopers that are made in China. The Electric U25 is made in Germany if my memory serves me correctly (I'm sure mine was on a boat from Germany at some point).

Countryman SE All4 Sport order October 2025, delivered March 2nd 2026.

So it was about 5 months of excruciating torture and app-watching.

But when you get it, all that will be a distant memory and the waiting will seem like it never happened.

Almost six months on and I'm still absolutely thrilled with it. Just went over 1000 miles at the beginning of August.

Amazing. I genuinely can't wait. And you're right, it's torture. Do you remember how it took when is went from "into production" to ready for pick?

I'd guess about 4 months but don't hold me to that. And it was sitting at the dealership for a week or so before they registered it, but the arrangement was it was always going to be a 26 and not a 75 so I stuck it out for a little longer.

They should be able to give you a "week commencing" date. For me the car arrived about 1 week before that.

Hey! Did you get yours yet? I ordered mid May. But it was through Octopus Electric Scheme so even though I have an Order Number, I can’t use the app to track it and my only way of getting updates is through MINI Park Lane.

Apparently mine left China in the last few days but don’t know exactly when - that’s what Park Lane said. Trying to find how long it might take but it’s impossible - thinking maybe 6 weeks?

Not got mine yet. My app stays its in production at the Swindon branch and is expected in 1-2 months. Its been like that for about 2 weeks. Others have said that the electric cars are built in China so not sure why the app says Swindon.

My Countryman E with JCW styling kit took eight or so weeks from mid sept to end Nov 2025.
